Exploring Faith is a five-week journey designed for seekers, sceptics, and also believers who would like a boost to their faith. A course written by Rev Simon Tillotson it will run on Wednesday evenings from 7.30pm to 9.15pm in late July and August over five weeks. It will take place in the Church Hall at All Saints and is free of charge.
Week 1: Faith Reborn explores the modern resurgence of spirituality, distinguishing authentic hunger from harmful religion, and asking why the Christian worldview still speaks to a searching world.
Week 2: Blind Faith? dismantles the myth that faith ignores reality, exploring how science and the historical claims that Christianity makes powerfully point towards a Creator.
Week 3: Faith in What or Whom? unpacks the central claims of the Christian faith, exploring how the story of Christ acts as the perfect lens through which we might clearly see the heart of God the Father.
Week 4: Stepping Out in Faith looks at how the Holy Spirit is said to gently draw us, and what it practically means to take a personal leap of trust.
Week 5: Growing in Faith tackles spiritual dryness, the long dark night of doubt, and discovering lifelines like prayer and scripture to sustain faith within an inclusive church fellowship.
