We are a warm, family-friendly, bible-centred church who love Jesus, one another and our city. Christ Church Truro - Sunday 9.30am

A friendly church family of all ages, meeting every Sunday at 10 River Street, Truro. The church is made up of people from all backgrounds and every stage of life. We have lots of young families and small children as well as older adults. We have an informal style and a warm welcome. Refreshments are served before and after our service. We have an amazing Sunday Club for primary age children where they learn about Jesus in a safe and fun environment. As well as meeting on Sundays we have midweek community groups, events and activities. Christ Church is a Church of England church in the Diocese of Truro.

This Sunday we finish our series in Mark with Jesus holding up a coin and asking whose face is on it. It starts as another attempt to catch him out, and ends with a claim that reaches much further than tax — and with a God who turns out to be Lord even over death.

Come and hear what it means to belong to him completely — and why that's the safest place to be.

This Sunday Jesus tells a story about tenants who happily enjoy everything the vineyard gives them while refusing to hand the owner what's his. It's uncomfortably close to home, and it asks a simple question: is Jesus really Lord here, or just very influential influencer?

Come ready to answer it honestly. There's far more freedom on the other side of that question than most of us expect.

We are inviting all members of our church family to the Trinity Prayer Meeting tomorrow evening (Wed 21st Oct) at St Kea Church.
Let's join and seek the Lord together for God's wisdom, unity, peace, strength and faithfulness as we seek to grow and serve the communities God has placed us in.

Refreshments will be served from 7:00pm, and the meeting will start at 7:30pm.

There’s a version of faith that runs mostly on effort — showing up, keeping the standards, hoping it adds up to enough. It's exhausting, and it's more common in church than we like to admit.

This Sunday Jesus rides into Jerusalem to a hero's welcome, and within a day has brought the temple to a standstill. It looks like anger. Mark shows us it's something far more deliberate: a King's verdict on religion that had stopped bearing fruit, and a question about where our own trust really rests.

If your faith has started to feel more like maintenance than good news, this one is for you.

Join us this Sunday for our All Age Harvest Service where we will be thinking about how we treat the world we live in. We will look at Genesis 1, where God looks at everything he has made and calls it very good, and hands it to people made in his image to look after. That turns out to shape how we live now in some very practical ways.
During the service we will be collecting for Truro Foodbank.
