We are a warm, family-friendly, bible-centred church who love Jesus, one another and our city. Christ Church Truro - Sunday 9.30am

A friendly church family of all ages, meeting every Sunday at 10 River Street, Truro. The church is made up of people from all backgrounds and every stage of life. We have lots of young families and small children as well as older adults. We have an informal style and

a warm welcome. Refreshments are served before and after our service. We have an amazing Sunday Club for primary age children where they learn about Jesus in a safe and fun environment. As well as meeting on Sundays we have midweek community groups, events and activities. Christ Church is a Church of England church in the Diocese of Truro.

Join us this Sunday as we continue our series in Revelation.
This week we come to the last of the seven letters to the churches, we meet Laodicea — a church very full of itself. They're comfortable, well-resourced, and convinced they're doing fine. The problem is, Jesus disagrees. He exposes the gap between how they see themselves and how he sees them — and it's not pretty.
Come and hear his honest, searching — and surprisingly encouraging — words to a church that thought it had everything sorted.

Due to the wet and windy weather, we have made the decision to postpone the BBQ and Swim event that was scheduled for tomorrow.

We will be arranging a new date in July, so please keep an eye on next week's email for further details. Hopefully, we'll have some better weather by then!

This week do join us at Christ Church as we continue our series in Revelation. This week we meet the church in Sardis, who look great on the outside but inside they’re hollow and lacking in trust in Jesus. Do we have areas where we need to strengthen what’s lacking? Will we hear the challenge to have real integrity in our faith?

As we meet the church in Thyatira this week in Christ’s letters to the seven churches we meet a church who are divided. Many are faithful and increasing in good works. Some have been duped by a false prophetess who promises fulfilment through idolatry. Will we learn from their mistakes? Are we wise to the signs of false teaching in our time?

This Sunday we're in Revelation 2, with Jesus speaking to the church in Pergamum — a congregation doing something genuinely impressive: holding firm to their faith in a city that was actively hostile to it. But Jesus has a warning too. Some of them were drifting — not through outright rejection of faith, but through quiet compromise. Comfort, convenience, fitting in. Sound familiar? Come and hear what Jesus says to a church that looks a lot like ours.
