🌍✨ Praise & Play was all about CREATION today! ✨🌿

We heard the story of how God made the world — light, land, sea, plants, animals… and eventually, us! 🐘🌻🌈

There was singing, playing, exploring and probably a little bit of creating our own chaos too. 😂

A lovely afternoon discovering that God made the whole world — and thinks it’s pretty good. 💚

And if you missed us today, we’d love to see you next week! Come along with your little ones for stories, songs, play and a warm welcome. ❤️

Just saying… Praise & Play is on Friday. 😂

Sadly, we can’t promise that particular miracle.

But we can promise songs, stories, toys, snacks, coffee and enough toddler chaos to make you wonder whether someone has been turning something into wine. 🍷👀

We’re looking for a new vicar at St Matthew’s — and we don’t just want to hear from the people who sit in church on a Sunday!

What would you like our new vicar to be like?

What would you like them to bring to Stretton?
What would you like to see them getting involved in?
What could they do that would make a difference to our community?

Tell me you have a toddler at church without telling me you have a toddler at church… 😂⛪️

Highlight was during prayers… “Mummy why is everyone sleeping?” In a loud clear voice 🙄

Because sometimes church involves worship, prayer and reflection… and sometimes it involves a toddler enthusiastically spreading out the contents of “her” bag. 😂

And that’s exactly how it should be. ❤️

Church is for everyone — including our smallest (and messiest!) members.

Church isn’t just about what happens inside a building… sometimes it looks like a tent in the middle of Creamfields! 🙌

This weekend, the amazing We Are The Church team are at Creamfields, creating a space where festival-goers can stop, chat, rest, pray, ask questions, or simply find a friendly face. ❤️

Please pray for everyone involved — for conversations that matter, opportunities to share faith, people who feel welcomed and loved, and for God to be at work in all the unexpected moments. 🙏

And of course… we’re very grateful for all those Jammy Dodgers being eaten! 🍪😂
