The Salvation Army - North West England & North Wales Division

The Salvation Army - North West England & North Wales Division Purpose - To offer vision and leadership. To resource and support ministry through encouraging, equipping, enabling and empowering local Corps and Centres.

Purpose
To offer vision and leadership. To resource and support ministry through encouraging, equipping, enabling and empowering Corps and Centres. Values
Integrity
We believe that honesty and integrity are vital to our very being. Therefore:
We will make wise, productive use of our time. We will build each other up by encouragement. We will speak the truth. We will be loyal to each other and to

Salvation Army mission, ethos and principles.

“In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.” Titus 2:7-8 (NIV)

Encouragement and Service
We believe we are here to provide service and encouragement to all. Therefore:
We will model encouragement and service to Corps, Centres and the DHQ team. Where appropriate we will offer the necessary information, training, support and resources to empower DHQ and Corps and Centres to maximise mission. Serve Corps and Centres by only requesting information we do not hold. Passion and Spirituality
As a DHQ team we need to be prayerful and theologically led in our decision-making and ways of working. To be passionate about the mission of The Salvation Army, encouraging and valuing creativity and boldness within the team and wider division. Therefore we will:
Prioritise vision and prayer within DHQ and facilitated by the DHQ team to support local mission. Continually look for ways to enable creativity and passion in mission to flourish

Working Together
In understanding team as a group of two or more people from vastly different backgrounds, experiences and ideologies who have been brought together for a common purpose we accept the following. We will:
Seek to communicate effectively and respectfully with each other; with Corps, Centres and with other HQs in order to achieve common mission aims. Value one another above and beyond the task. Encourage personal development with a view to enhancing the capacity, capability and competency. Display high standards of deportment and relationship within the team and wider division, developing and promoting the Christian ethos of The Salvation Army.

“We have many parts in the one body and all these parts have different functions. In the same way, though we are many, we are one body in union with Christ, and we are all joined to each other as different parts of one body. So we are to use our different gifts in accordance with the grace that God has given us…work hard and do not be lazy. Serve the Lord with a heart full of devotion.” Romans 12:4-6 &11
