Interesting conversation at Breathe yesterday. Acts 9: 22-31. Barnabas stood for a newly converted Saul against those who didn't trust him and wanted to kill him.

Are we willing to stand with those marginalised by society? As one of the group said:'Barnabas put his neck on the line'. Would we be willing to do the same?

Join us in prayers for the City Centre:
* For the stall holders who offer fresh food and vegetables in the middle of a busy city
* For the cafe's, coffee shops and other eating places who offer meals, snacks, and places to meet.
* For transport and all who make travel as safe and accessible as possible
* For the shops and their staff.
* For visitors and residents.
* For all in need at this time.

Lord, we hold them all before you. Be with all in the City Centre. Help us to show your love and concern in all that we do. Amen

Excellent conversations today at Women's group, including:
* Gardening. From the one who has a design and follows it through, to the one who buys random plants and then wonders where to plant them.
* Things we have had to unlearn. Things that stop us learning new things.
* Reflections around Seven Sacred Spaces: George Lings (2020). Thoughts will continue as homework!
Next meeting 8th October.

* General conversation around decision making and how we accept changes
* Refreshment break
* First discussion in the series Aspects of Love - Love that Welcomes - The Prodigal Son, Luke 15:11-32

Next week 11th September: Love that Listens - Mary at Jesus' Feet Luke 10:38-42 plus refreshments and conversation around a topic yet to be decided!

Today's prayer walk offered a time for quiet observation and reflection.

Starting at the Left Lion prayers were offered for the Council, it's decisions and the staff who work in the Council Offices. Praying outside St Peter’s we reflected on the church and on the shops, representing giving and receiving. And we stopped at the Coffee Farm, part of White Rose outlet, that links your cup of coffee directly to farming families in Rwanda.

So many people, so many prayers needed. Lord hear our prayers, both spoken and in our hearts. Amen

Join us for our monthly City Centre Prayer Walk, the first one on Thursday 3rd September
* Meet 11am at the Left Lion in the Market Square.
* Approx a mile, with a number of prayer stops.
* Steady stroll, no hurry.
* Join us for coffee in the nearest cafe at the end of the walk.
* All welcome.
