1Thessalonians 5:22
Abstain from all appearance of evil.

The Bible advises us on how we should deal with evil, including sin

How?? Abstain from its appearance. It means you don’t wait for it to come up to you, then resist, because it might be difficult

It means you see it coming from one direction and move towards the opposite direction.

PRAYER REQUEST
Father I thank you for your word and the power to overcome evil in this life

I pray Lord, continually strengthen me in your to identify evil from afar and the strength to abstain from it

Any form of sin that has become chronic in my life, oh Lord deliver me from it. In Jesus name

2Corithians 7:1
Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

EXEGESIS
The Lord has given us so many promises through His word to us as Christians.

What does He expect from us?
To cleanse ourselves, to consciously and actively decide and make an effort to rid ourselves from all sins and uncleanliness.

He says we should stop hiding behind ‘no one is perfect’ and perfect ourselves in Him

He expects us to be able to do this through our fear in Him🙏

PRAYER🗣️🗣️🗣️
Oh Lord! I understand your charge to me, to live in you and perfect my holiness in you. I pray, plant in me an unusual fear of the Lord that I may do that which is expected of me in Jesus name.

Isaiah 43:2
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee

EXEGESIS 📖
The Bible is full of the promises of God, and one of such is the promises of God not leaving us in our trial moments

He didn’t say we won’t go through the waters, rivers and fires. He simply said that if we do, we should know that He is there with us and He will not let us be consumed by them

God is there through our afflictions and problems. He will not let us be consumed by them. HALLELUJAH

PRAYER FOR TODAY
I believe your word and your promises of fellowship

In my weakness, Daddy be merciful
Hold my hand and direct my path whenever the road seems blurry and dark

Isaiah 40:30
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

EXEGESIS
✝️There is a period in a believer’s life where the Lord is expecting just a singular action from us; WAITING

✝️This scripture clearly shows why we should and what happens when we do. At some point in our journey of racing to the finish line, we grow tired and weary. The Lord says that during these periods ‘WAIT’
What does He intend to do? To renew your strength, to replenish that which has been exhausted during the journey

✝️Are you expecting something from God in your troubled times? He says WAIT
Are you desperately in need of a breakthrough, miracle and anything at all? God says WAIT

✝️Your waiting will not be in vain
Don’t just wait, wait on Him. It means to trust that He’ll come through for you no matter how long and how discouraging it may seem

PRAYER FOR TODAY🗣️🗣️🗣️
🗣️Father I thank you for your word and your promises

🗣️I trust you and so I’ll wait on you
Please hear my plea for help and attend to me swiftly

🗣️I’ll trust, I’ll pray, I’ll hope and I’ll wait on you Lord, trusting that you’ll fulfill your word and your promises in my life

MORNING COFFEE ☕️ ☕️ ☕️

Hebrews 12:1
" Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,"

EXEGESIS
The apostle had a revelation that most of us probably have not had and probably won’t; what was it?
Him, identifying that we do not walk alone, we’re surrounded by a great, multitudes of angels, gone saints, men and women who have gone to be with the Lord.

What are they doing? They’re looking unto us; to live a sinless life, possibly continue what some of them started on earth 🌍

What do they expect from us?
That we do not grow weary and faint in our race to the finish line.
They expect us to endure the shame, pain, suffering, affliction, persecutions and just RUN
That we’re not carrying weights of sin and still expect to run the race.

RUN UNTO THE FINISH🏃🏽‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏾‍♂️‍➡️🏃🏿‍♂️‍➡️
RUN LIKE YOU’RE BEING CHASED TO DEATH🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️
LAY ASIDE EVERY WEIGHT

PRAYER FOR TODAY 🧎🏾‍♀️‍➡️🧎🏾‍♀️‍➡️🧎🏾‍♀️‍➡️
✝️Father I thank you for your word and the your love

✝️I pray that continually renew my strength to be able to run this race that has been set before me in Jesus name

✝️I pray father, any form of sin that has clung closely to me, that has become a weight and as a result, cannot run the race, I liberate myself from it in Jesus name

MORNING COFFEE☕️☕️☕️

PSALM 16:7
I will bless the LORD, who hath given me counsel: my reins also instruct me in the night seasons.

EXEGESIS
The Psalmist mentions his reason for blessing the Lord. Why? The Lord gave him counsel

The Lord counsels us everyday by His word. That’s why the Bible was written. One of its many relevance is COUNSEL

Counsel in good times and bad times. The Psalmist mentions himself receiving counsel in ‘night seasons’ .
Night seasons could be your season of afflictions, death, pain and suffering, it could be any other unfortunate season.

The word of God is encouraging us to bless His name in every season because God has already given us counsel to make it through every season.

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING🔥🔥

🗣️Oh Lord, if I’ve ever been unthankful in my moments of night seasons, please forgive me

🗣️Your praises will always be on my lips, for the guidance and wisdom you give in every season and every phase of my life.

Mathew 6:14
But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

EXEGESIS ✝️✝️
God has always promised us of His unrelenting love and His mercy
He assures us of His forgiveness when we come to Him in our weakness and sins.

However, He has attached a condition ‘FORGIVE MEN’. This statement is God acknowledging that men will offend us and it can be hard to forgive sometimes.

We stand in our self righteousness and hold onto offences and hurt ourselves in words and actions, this is why forgiveness is important to the church.

Are you holding unto any bitterness, offences or anything similar? God said FORGIVE

It doesn’t matter who’s right or wrong, just forgive and that’s how we can also receive redemption from our sins to God.

PRAYER REQUESTS🗣️🗣️
🗣️ Father I thank you for your word; the clarity and grace in it.

🗣️ I understand how nearly impossible it is to forgive out of my will but I stand on your word and
I pray, make it possible for me to forgive (insert name) in Jesus name

For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

PRAYERS
🗣️Father I thank you for your word and your promises

🗣️Oh Lord I pray, lead me to fountain of waters that I may be nourished and fruitful both physically and spiritually

🗣️Father, please give me a reason to live joyfully in you and take away any source of sorrows in my life in Jesus name

2Samuel 22:31
“As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him”

EXEGESIS
This scripture was written by King David and one thing can be drawn from it; ‘absolute dependence’

We’ve to come to a point to trust God wholly with our lives
Trust that He has our interests at heart, trust that He wants us to prosper in relationships, health and wealth

Sometimes the journey becomes intense and uncertain, still TRUST in Him
He is a buckler to those that trust Him.

PRAYER REQUEST
🔥Father I thank you for your word and the clarity it brings me everyday

🔥I pray that continually show me mercy and grace to walk your way; to speak your words; and continually abide regardless of the circumstances
