Next Thursday is World Su***de Prevention Day. You are warmly invited to come along for a short prayer service of candle lighting and a minute silence in honour of all the lives lost to su***de. This will be a Christian prayer event but it is open to people of all faiths or none because mental health struggles impact everyone. 🕯 🙏

Our Christian conference is proceeding exactly as scheduled tomorrow. We are aware of incorrect information circulating online regarding our venue and the status of our event. As managing trustees of the building, we want to provide clear, verified facts so our community can join us tomorrow with complete peace of mind.

📌 Is the conference cancelled?
No. The event is fully going ahead.Any online imagery or posts claiming the conference is cancelled are completely unauthorised and incorrect.

📌 Is the building safe to attend?
Yes, absolutely.Following recent third-party reports, local council health and safety officers—including a representative on behalf of the Chief Executive—personally visited our premises twice this week.The council officially confirmed that our building is safe, the complaints were groundless, and we are fully cleared to host our guests.

📌 Who controls the building?
Our leadership team serves as the sole managing trustees responsible for all operations, building safety, and event bookings.While the Free Church of England acts strictly as the custodian trustee holding the physical property deeds, they hold no operational power or authority to cancel our events.

We are deeply saddened by the deliberate misinformation campaign led by Mr Matthew Firth on social media. While we pray for a peaceful resolution to his ongoing hostility, our priority is welcoming you with joy tomorrow!
