We love having young people at church, and we make the Sunday Bible talks accessible to young people as they grow in their understanding of the Bible and their knowledge and love of Jesus, as well as helping them grow into the life of our church.

We also have a Youth group that meets on a Monday evening for fun, snacks and bible. And the occasional breakfast which happened before church on Sunday, and as you can see from the mess was enjoyed by all!

At Baby Grows last week, our work experience student told the story of Paul from the book of Acts. Paul hated Jesus and Jesus' friends, and tried to stop them from speaking about Jesus.

But on the road to Damascus, Paul met the risen Jesus and his eyes were opened. Then Paul couldn't help but tell everyone about Jesus. What a change!

Come along this week for another story and craft, toys to play with, music time, teas, coffees, toast and teacakes and nice conversation 🙂

Yesterday, our Assistant Pastor Steve preached to us from Romans 5 - a quick summary would be 'Death in Adam, Life in Jesus'.

v21 'just as sin reigned in death, so also grace will reign through righteousness, resulting in eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.'

We've got lots of resources available for you to take away on a Sunday morning - flyers for up and coming events, tracts that clearly explain the gospel, gospels for giving away to people interested in reading the bible for themselves, answers to tough questions and more.
Do pick some up on Sunday if they would be useful 🙂

Last week at Baby Grows we heard about a guy called Philip (who was a follower of Jesus) and an Ethiopian man. The Ethiopian man was reading the scriptures but he couldn't quite understand what it was about - something to do with an innocent man dying.

Philip told him all about who that was - Jesus! God's promised King who had come to die to rescue his people.

Do join us again this Thursday 9:15am to 10:30am at 91 Balmoral Road for refreshments, lots of play and chats, storytime, craft time and music time!

Yesterday, we heard Gerry our Pastor preach on Acts 16 with Paul and Silas facing persecution and imprisonment for their preaching of Jesus. In teaching time, we heard about how this is still happening now in other parts of the world, as Christians speak of Jesus.

Starting after Church on Sunday we are running our Christianity Explored course.

A video to watch, a bit of Mark's gospel to look at and time for your questions.

Come to Church, and after coffee time, and then Christianity Explored starts 12pm until 12:30pm. The course is on offer on Sundays 11th, 18th October, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th November. Any question welcome!
