Wellesley Parish Church, Methil Wellesley Parish Church on Wellesley Road in Methil are a welcoming place for everyone. Our popular cafe is open Tuesday - Thursday.

We host worship services as well as community groups from babies and toddlers, teens, adults and older adults too.

On Sunday we marked the long service of three of our Elders and we were blessed to have the Very Rev Dr Russell Barr with us. Russell preached a wonderful sermon on "What happened next" and then presented the certificates to Amy, Margaret and Linda.

We also presented an award to Linda for serving as our Session Clerk for 30 years, we have been extremely fortunate to have Linda serve for all this time, she's one in million!

In this special Service we welcomed Mary Bain-Lockhart as our student placement as well and look forward to Mary working with us as she continues her studies.

The Cafe is closed this week to allow our staff a well earned break. It will reopen with our normal times next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:30am to 1pm. Breakfast is served form 9:30am to 11am with lunch served from 11am until last orders at 12:45pm. We are a small but busy cafe so you can always reserve a table to make sure you don't miss out. The Cafe is Closed this week to allow our volunteers some well earned time off.

We'll be back open next week as normal on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9:30am to 1pm. Breakfast is served from 9:30am to 11am with lunch served from 11am until last orders at 12:45pm.

We have another special Service coming up today, Sunday 6th September at 11am when we will welcome the Very Rev Dr Russell Barr back to Wellesley to preach the sermon during this unique occasion. Russell was with us 10 years ago while he was Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, and on that occasion he presented long service certificates to several elders.

Two of those Elders, Linda and Margaret, received recognition for 30 years of service, now they have reached 40 years, and they don't look a day older!.....Amy also reaches 30 years of service, and Linda marks 30 years as our Session Clerk. All these milestones will be celebrated tomorrow so please come and join us!

We're also looking forward to the congregational lunch after the Service when friends and family will join together.

Our youngsters meet in the Wellesley Centre at 10.45am, their group is now called JaM [Jesus and Me] and all are welcome to join them.

Up next on our themed food and quiz night is our Asian themed night. Tickets are £15 per person and covers a 2 course meal and your quiz entry. Come along from 6pm to 7:30pm for food and then we start the quiz at 8pm.
