This Prisons Week, we join together in prayer for everyone affected by imprisonment: people in prison, their families and friends, prison staff, and all whose lives have been impacted by crime.

As we reflect on this year’s theme of connection, we pray for freedom from fear and isolation, for healing and forgiveness, and for the strength to show mercy and justice to one another.

Mothers’ Union has proudly sponsored Prisons Week for 40 years. Join us in prayer as we remember all those affected by the criminal justice system. 🙏

All lay leaders are invited to the next Manchester South and Stretford Deanery Lay Leadership Conference - a unique opportunity for laity to gather for worship, fellowship and encouragement. This event is open to all lay people
who contribute to the life of their church. The guest speakers will be The Venerable Karen Best, Archdeacon of Manchester, and Dr Adesola Akala, Lay Ministry Officer. The aims of the conference are:
 To ensure that lay leaders feel valued, thanked and supported in their
various roles.
 To explore the theme of ‘Finding Joy’.
 To provide some tools and resources to encourage joy.
The conference will take place on Saturday 24 th October from 10am to 1pm at St James Church, Moss Side. Light refreshments will be provided. To register to attend, sign up using this link:

All welcome we would love to see you, there is also a service of the word at our branch church at Humphrey park Community centre. Sunday with all donations being auctioned off and proceeds are going to the Booth Centre. ⚓️
