Yesterday, Matt encouraged us to be strong and courageous, living in freedom instead of fear, dismay, anxiety, and worry. He shared with us how it is ONLY with God's presence and His power alone that means we are able to be truly strong, truly courageous, and truly free. He encouraged us to press into God and trust in Him fully, giving our burdens fully over to Him, allowing Him full control in our lives to enable us to live in this way of strength, courage, and freedom! πŸ™

What does God mean by "be strong and courageous"?
This Sunday, we are beginning a new series in the book of Joshua in the Bible entitled, 'Taking Steps Of Faithful Obedience'. And as we begin this week, looking at Chapter 1, we come to this repetition of these 4 words: 'be strong and courageous'. But what do they mean? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
Do they mean to be physically strong and powerful and to blindly fear nothing and no-one? πŸ’ͺ
No, that's not what God meant when He gave these words to Joshua.
God desired that IN HIM, Joshua would be strong, in God's strength, and would not have to fear anyone or any thing as God is all-powerful and all-knowing, in control of the destiny of His people, meaning that there was no need for any fear or worry, despite the magnitude of the task in front of them. πŸ™
We can learn a lot from God's words here to Joshua and all that he and the people faced and overcame because of His strength and His courage.
Come along to hear more about this on Sunday and all that God has to say to us! πŸ“–
We'll be at Willow Lane Community Primary School at 10:30am on Sunday! πŸ”₯

New Sermon Series: Taking Steps Of Faithful Obedience.πŸšΆβ€β™‚οΈ
We welcome you to come and join us THIS SUNDAY as we begin our new sermon series in the Old Testament book of Joshua, where God's people finally entered the promised land.
We're going to look at how Joshua and the Israelites followed God, as well as the times when they didn't, and how God was faithful to them when they followed and obeyed Him.πŸ™
Through this series, we will look at what it looks like we for us as individuals and as a church to faithfully and obediently walk in step with God.πŸ“–
Come and join us at 11am on Sundays, with refreshments from 10:30am, at Willow Lane Community Primary School. πŸ‘‹

We are called to reflect Jesus every single day. At work. At school. Online. At home. In our communities.
Holiness should be carried into our habits, attitudes, relationships, and priorities.

Yesterday, Josh shared all about God's promises and faithfulness to us at all times in all ways, just as He was to Abraham and to His people through many years.πŸ™Œ
He encouraged us to press into the promises of God, especially acknowledging God as our provider, and our burden-carrier, casting all our cares on Him because He cares for us as the verse says.πŸ™

What promises does God make to us today?
This Sunday, we are looking at God's covenant with Abraham as a one-off message from Josh Fox from Brookhouse Community Church.
He will be sharing with us about this passage from Genesis 15, looking at this special covenant for Abraham which was very much for Abraham but also with his many future descendants to come in mind too, much of which was well beyond his lifetime!
As we look at this covenant and the promise God made to him, we also think of the many promises God makes with us; and He always keeps His promises! πŸ™Œ
Come along to hear more about this Bible passage on Sunday and all that God has to say to us! πŸ“–
We'll be at Willow Lane Community Primary School at 10:30am on Sunday! πŸ”₯
