What does it look like to work together as His Church? 🀝
This week, we look at where the early church got it so RIGHT in the way that they worked, served and ministered together following Pentecost as the Church boomed and then continued to grow! 🀲
The early Church focused on what was important for the building of the Church but also focused on everything being about God's glory and the good of one another, fellow believers, brothers and sisters in Christ.🀝
Come along to hear more about how we can learn to follow the example of the early Church and work together for our good, the good of one another, but most importantly for God's glory and the building up of His Church!πŸ“–
We'll be at Willow Lane Community Primary School at 10:30am on Sunday! πŸ”₯

What marks your life lately? Is it fear and timidity? Or is it power, love, and self-discipline? πŸ™
A life lived in our own power will always be marked by fear and timidity. But God offers us something greater.πŸ“–πŸ”₯

This Sunday, Matt shared with us how we need to be obedient and surrender to God's will on a daily basis as individuals and as a Church. πŸ™
He challenged us to deal with our pride and the 'towers' in our lives that seek to big us up or increase our ego, instead seeking to grow in our humility and to surrender fully to God's will, which gives Him glory and builds His Kingdom.πŸ™Œ

When we work together, we must seek to do good. πŸ•Š
This week, we look at where mankind working together went very wrong, and it reminds us how sometimes we can get things wrong as a collective, and despite working as one body, we can go in the wrong direction, even as far as dishonouring and not following God.
The story of the Tower of Babel is a very humbling reminder that we are the created, not the creator, and just how mighty and over all God is, and that we, as the one body, the Church, are to be obedient to Him, doing what is good and right, and keeping ourselves guarded against the pitfalls and dangers of going away from or turning against God and His word. We must learn from where others have got it wrong so that we, as one body, as the church, might get it right for the common God.🀝
Come along to hear more about how we shouldn't work together, and what we have to avoid as a church, so that we bring honour to the Lord. πŸ“–

We don’t always need clearer plans as much as we need surrendered hearts. We can trust He'll lead us all along the way.
This is one of the wisest prayers a believer can pray. It isn't about getting what you want, but about God leading you into what's best.

It was such an encouragement to hear how God brought Philemon from a place of uncertainty and confusion about how he could be reconciled to God to a place of clarity and hope that led him into being an evangelist for God, sharing with others about Him! πŸ”₯
God has transformed his life and now He is working through Philemon's life to lead others to Christ too! πŸ™

Yesterday, at the start of our new series: 'For The Common God', Francis shared with us how as one body we are to freed up and fired up to use our gifts and use them to build His Church as well as to reach the world for Christ. In doing this, God is given great honour and He is glorified.

How can be be one body together? πŸ•Š
On Pentecost Sunday, we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the Church: God's design for His people to function as a body together! So how can this body function well and be one together? Only by the person and power of the Holy Spirit. πŸ”₯
This Sunday, we will be looking at the oneness we can and should have as a church and the Church, and the role of the one Spirit, the Holy Spirit, in bringing us and keeping us together as one body and one family together as part of our new series over the next few weeks called, 'For The Common Good'. πŸ™
Come along to hear more about the role of the Holy Spirit in our oneness as a church. πŸ“–
We'll be at Willow Lane Community Primary School at 10:30am on Sunday! πŸ”₯
