A big “THANK YOU” to all the kind households in Fen Drayton who kindly opened their gardens to share with others the weekend before last. The different styles, sizes and plants were much enjoyed so thank you for all the work you put in to get them ready and host the afternoon visitors.
We sold out of tickets with over 240 people visiting from Fen Drayton itself, the surrounding villages and from further afield having seen the advert in The National Directory of Open Gardens and on the Ely Diocesan events website. A huge thank you to the volunteers who worked both before, during and after the weekend to ensure it could happen-you were brilliant. Thanks to go to everyone who baked scones and cakes for us to sell during both afternoons- delicious. We had lots of compliments to the bakers and makers.
Thank you too to all the artists who loaned their art for the exhibition, you are all very talented and it was fantastic to see St Mary’s full of people and art all around the walls and over the pews. Several pieces of art and prints were sold as well as some beautiful cards.
It looks like we will have raised around £2,600. Over the weekend. All these monies are now in St Mary’s church account to enable repairs and restoration tasks to be done.
Thank you all once again! 🌷 🌺 🌳 🪴
