Last Sunday we were very pleased to welcome the Revd Kate Baker, a member of our congregation, as the celebrant. However, Fr Andrew Body, also a member of our congregation, preached on the Trinity, referencing the fact that the three colours red, green and blue, can create white when seen together on a spinning disc, and that a glove cannot pick up a book unless guided by a hand within. Thursday was the Feast of Corpus Christi, the Day of Thanksgiving for the Institution of Holy Communion. The Ven Alex Hughes, Archdeacon of Cambridge presided and preached at the evening Eucharist, that ended with Benediction. On Friday afternoon there was a funeral in All Saints, and although incense is not a prerequisite, Fr Barry chose to use it with interesting effect. This morning we are delighted to welcome the Revd Imogen Nay, vicar of St Paul's church, Cambridge and Bishop's Adviser for Climate, to preside and preach on the First Sunday after Trinity at our 10.15 sung Eucharist. All are very welcome.
