🤗 What an absolutely JOYFUL time back together in Sunday Club after a long summer of all-age worship.
🙊 I know the rest of the congregation were feeling a bit envious as a few people said to me that they missed the noise and joy of the children being in for the sermon the whole time!
🎣 We had fun together learning about Jesus calling his first disciples, considering what we might need to ‘leave behind’ to follow Jesus and how we can be fishers of men ourselves.

😃Now that it's August we had better start getting excited for the St Ives Family Fun Day 'If Trees Could Talk...' in partnership with The Norris Museum and Holt Island Nature Reserve!
🍪Come into our church for refreshments and spot some of our youth there to help out younger children.

🤗 Busy tables at Rooted Youth, KS2, KS1, EYFS and crèche today as we welcomed in our friends from 1st St Ives Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association as they had their summer parade service.
👶🏽 Learning about Psalm 139 and how God knows us inside and out, and thinking about what we would like others to know about us when they meet us.

🙌🏼 IT WORKED! Just as God gives us renewal, washes us ‘whiter than snow’ and forgives us when we’re sorry, our paper that we scribbled all over has been cleaned and formed into something new!
🖊️ My kiddos chose to write parts of Psalm 51 on theirs, how will you use your paper heart to remember God’s unconditional love and his forgiveness for you?

🤗 Giving congregation favourite Roy a warm welcome as we thought about how we welcome others as Christians in the all-age address.
🧼 Out to Sunday Club to learn about how David asked God to wash him clean of his stains, his sin.
💓 Some hands-on learning as we washed our paper clean, mixed it into pulp and recycled it into new paper to show God’s renewal- please be careful of the paper hearts drying on the windowsill in the hall, thank you!
🙏🏽 God forgives us as he washes us clean, we finished with a prayer thanking God for his loving mercy and asked for strength to pray and repent when we get things wrong.

🌟 Thank you to guest preacher West Thomas for coping superbly well with a very busy all-age worship today!
🐦 A wonderful message that you are not too small for God to notice- you are worth more than many sparrows and He is with you in your illness, your anxiety, your sadness, your relationship struggles, your grief.
🐜 Just as the children had noticed ants, beetles, ladybirds and even rainbow butterflies this week, God notices you. He is always with you and He will never forsake you.
🙏🏽 Thank you West for being bold and honest in your message today and for your open and inspiring prayers of intercession! We loved having you here at St Ives Methodist Church! Come back soon!
