ICS is an international Church of England mission agency to English-speakers globally

ICS is an international Church of England mission agency: we make known the good news of Jesus Christ to people who speak English, who find themselves living, studying, working or holidaying away from home in countries where English is not the main language. In continental Europe ICS's ministry also touches the lives of increasing numbers of Europeans who speak English. We are also an Anglican patronage society, recruiting ministers to serve in many of the international Anglican churches we partner, and whose buildings we often own. We work mainly in continental Europe and around the Mediterranean and are funded entirely by donations from individuals, churches and trusts that share our aims. Please pray for ICS Recruitment and Short-term Mission (STM): Recruitment. For a growing awareness across the Church of the importance of mission and ministry in English for everyone. For our partnership with local dioceses and especially Bishops and Archdeacons. For Tim Wright as he completes his first year with ICS. Pray for the ongoing recruitment in Rio de Janeiro where the shortlisted candidate is visiting the church this month. Also, for the recruitment process in The Hague as they hope to advertise the role shortly. For all who take on the important role of parish representative in our vacant chaplaincies and for those who work hard to maintain congregational life incl. retired ministers and locum chaplains.
STM in Zermatt: the church building is now closed. Pray that it may still act as a beacon of hope and that people may wonder why it is there and be moved to seek the Saviour. For Tim as he continues to refresh the resort information packs, that he will highlight what is essential and not forget to mention anything important.

Church Planting Initiative: We thank God for everyone who attended the first Church Plant Enabling Training Conference (12–15) and pray that it was a valuable time of encouragement, calling, and equipping in the Lord.

Tonight, Holy Trinity Cannes come together for a fundraising quiz night.

Please pray for Christ Church Rio de Janeiro: For the search for a new Senior Pastor at Christ Church, that God will hand pick the right person. We’ll be journeying through Philippians in a series called ‘Joy in the Gospel’. Please pray that God would use His Word to renew our joy in Christ and deepen our love for the gospel. Pray particularly that the preaching would speak not only to those who already follow Jesus, but also to those who are exploring faith and finding their way into the life of the church; may we see God at work among us—deepening our faith, growing His church and drawing more people to Jesus.

St Peter’s Viña del Mar and St Paul’s Valparaiso: For our bible studies, both online and in person, that God will speak clearly through His Word so that lives are transformed by His teaching and presence.

Please pray for Christ Church Cathedral Stanley: This tourist season, pray for the cruise ship crews and visitors, the Cathedral’s welcome ministry and outreach, and all those engaged in ethical tourism. For the Seafarers Mission to be refreshed for another busy season and have the resources to support the needs of fishermen, tanker crews, reefers, and visiting cruise ships and yachts. For all who work at sea, in the vast and treacherous waters surrounding our islands, coupled with the unpredictable nature of the weather conditions they face; may they be guided safely through every storm, shielded from any harm and have hope until they find calm waters.

Today, is the Short-term Mission preparation day for ICS volunteer chaplains serving this winter season; for a desire to help people find Jesus.

Please pray for St Martin’s Sharjah: We pray for our sister churches and mission throughout the UAE including Holy Trinity in Dubai, Christ Church in Jebel Ali, St Andrew’s in Abu Dhabi, St Thomas in Al Ain, St Luke in Ras Al Khaimah, St Nicholas in Fujairah, as well as labour camp ministry.

Bush Church Aid: Pray that God will raise up more people to ‘Go the distance’ to share Jesus in the bush. Give thanks for all the new field staff He has placed across rural, regional and remote Australia in 2026.

Please pray for St Matthew’s Addis Ababa: For the Maban and Dinka language services to flourish and continue to have godly leadership when the current clergy move on; for St George’s Nuer language congregation on the outskirts of Addis to find a suitable, affordable venue.

Please pray for St George’s Tunis, Tunisia: For Revd Frank Bernardi as he leads this growing congregation.

Christ the King Tripoli, Libya: For the ministry of Revd Crimson Jebakumar, and for safety for church members.

All Saints Cathedral Cairo: Praying for a safe arrival in Cairo, for a smooth transition into the new work in the church and city. Also, for peace as we finish packing up our house and step into an exciting unknown.

Holy Trinity Algiers: It will soon be time to remember those who suffered and died in conflict around the world, including the two world wars. Pray for our work with the British Embassy, as we plan the Remembrance event at Deli Ibrahim cemetery. May we honour those who gave their lives in conflict and build peaceful and partnering relationships going forward. 2) For Remembrance Friday at HTA where we have an Act of Remembrance. 3) For our new after church group, that it might help weaker English speakers to better access the themes of the morning service, and for the continuation of our new HTA Discipleship Training course to help people better understand and be equipped by scripture to can lead in a Christian way.

Please pray for St John the Evangelist Alsancak & St Mary Magdalene Bornova (Izmir) and St Mary’s Didim: We pray for our churchwardens, welcomers, servers, and other volunteers. As we plan for Remembrance next month, we pray for the British NATO contingent that is based in Izmir, and for the officers and families who will be with us for Remembrance Sunday (St John’s) and Armistice Day (St Mary Magdalene’s).

Please pray for Holy Trinity Corfu: Pray for the Lord to draw people to our church, especially for a good turnout of non-churchgoers to the gospel outreach performance of ‘I am Mark’—for spiritual eyes and ears to be opened. We give thanks for the wonderful variety of summer visitors we have welcomed. There have been a few bereavements, please pray especially for Laura our choir leader who lost her fiancé suddenly. Pray for those who must make decisions and organise care for elderly parents while living far away.

Please pray for St Andrew’s Puerto Pollensa: We pray for those we know as ‘swallows’ (people who have holiday homes or who regularly visit), especially those for whom this has been their last year with us.

English-speaking Church on Ibiza and Formentera: Our daily zoom prayers that started at the beginning of the COVID lockdown, continue with people from around the world joining in to pray for our church, friends and family, and the world situation.

Please pray for St George’s Barcelona and Andorra: We have been having the lovely problem of our building often being too small for our services. Pray for wisdom as we seek God’s will in how best to move forward into the future.
