What a wonderful day at The Kenilworth Agricultural Show for The Arthur Rank Centre!
Thank you to the organisers, hosts and volunteers for your tremendous hard work !
It was fantastic to connect with so many farmers and members of our local community, and even cross paths with the occasional giant (as you can see in the photo!).
It was also a vital opportunity as Matt joined with 10 others in a Round Table discussion held in the Members’ Tent. Hosted by Warwickshire FCN and the Warwickshire Rural Hub, the meeting brought together select local farmers, Ag businesses, Trading Standards and community groups, alongside Sir Jeremy Wright MP. It was a vital space to share our collective understanding and deep concerns for farmers and farming, focusing particularly on the current challenges surrounding stress, wellbeing and food standards.
Back at the stand, a thank you to Trisha, who hosted our space so brilliantly. We were incredibly grateful to share the stand with our friends at The Addington Fund, standing together in mutual support of our rural communities.
As part of the day, we set up a small Reflection Tree (pictured here at the very start of the morning), inviting visitors to write their concerns, hopes, and prayers onto colourful tractors to place on the branches.
We are holding all of these completed in our prayers throughout this coming week. Thank you so much to everyone who stopped by, shared a conversation, and took part.
