A prayer for Warwick District Foodbank as they start to use our building today...

Gracious and compassionate God,
We lift up the Warwick District Foodbank and everyone it serves across Warwick, Leamington, and Kenilworth.

Thank you for the generosity of our community, for the hands that sort and pack donations, and for the volunteers who offer a friendly smile and a listening ear to those in crisis.

We pray for provision—that storehouses remain filled with the food and essential items needed to support families and individuals facing impossible choices between meals and other basic needs.

Bring comfort, dignity, and hope to every person who walks through the doors of a local centre. Grant wisdom to the leaders and care professionals who guide people toward help,and strengthen our community to work toward a future where everyone has enough.

In times of hardship, remind us all that we are not alone.

Amen.

From Tuesday 8th September Warwick District Foodbank will be having foodbank sessions at our building. We welcome them and all who will be using their services, which are such a needed & worthy cause.

On a beautiful September morning, our minister Nick Stanyon led today's service.

This was the first of our September series regarding how God enables people to grow the Church.

The Prodigal Son parable was the scripture focus. We were asked to consider whether we were like the prodigal or the proud son, and what that meant for us.

Church culture was also considered, including discussions of what might enhance our culture for the benefit of God and for those outside of our church community.

Come and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of an open garden tomorrow afternoon.

122 Valley Road, Lillington, will be open from 2 - 4pm on Saturday 11th July.

There will also be delicious cakes and samosas for you to enjoy.

Donations will be gratefully received towards Lillington Free Church.

AN UPDATE FROM SOME OF THE CHILDREN WE SPONSOR VIA Compassion UK

Marcos from Ecuador wished the peace of God may be with us, thanked us for his letter & gift, mentioned exams, explained that he has recently had lots of homework & projects, and he informed us of his challenges with an AI project. He is practicing his favourite sports - basketball & football - and will be moving onto his 3rd year of high school. Marcos also asked us to pray for his grandparents, parents, the rest of his family, and for the people who earn their living on the streets.

Joseph from Rwanda expressed his dreams: someday to visit his grandmother, someday to meet his sponsor, someday to see his sponsor, someday to do medicine, someday to help build a house for his family, and someday to be like his teacher. He also sent his greetings to Lillington Free Church.

We pray for Marcos and Joseph, and all who matter to them. May God be with them and strengthen them whatever life places in front of them.
