Congratulations to the children from our 3 Churches who made their First Reconciliation on 15th April 2026.

Many thanks to Fr Andy and Fr Allan for leading the service and hearing the children's confessions.

Please continue to keep the children and their families in your prayers as they continue to prepare to receive the sacrament of the Eucharist for the first time in May.

Fantastic to see a record attendance at the Easter Sunday Family Mass in Christ the King Church this morning. Not a spare seat in the house, wonderful to see so many families and hear the great singing! Thank you to everyone who helped to make this family mass a huge success and to everyone who took part. and attended.

Very special Easter prayers, hope and joy from Canon Matthew, Fr Andy, Fr Peter and Deacon Christian.

Caritas, Justice and Peace together with CAFOD warmly invite parishioners to join us in celebrating the Feast of St Oscar Romero on Tuesday 24 March 2026. The event will start at 12.45pm at Cardiff Cathedral.

St Oscar Romero’s life and witness continue to inspire Christians across the world in the pursuit of justice, peace, and solidarity with those who are oppressed.

We are especially mindful of our responsibility to support parishioners and young people in discovering his story and understanding how his faith-led courage speaks powerfully to the challenges of the modern world.

✝️Eucharistic Holy Hour and mass✝️

I'd like to extend an invitation to you to join us at St Teilo's Church (Parish of St. Teilo's with Our Lady of Lourdes) this Friday 6 February, for a Eucharistic Holy Hour at 6pm followed by holy mass at 7pm, praying for vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

My thanks to Canon John Griffiths for hosting this deanery event. This is part of an ongoing initiative for the first Fridays to be an opportunity to pray for vocations around the Archdiocese.

The first of these first Friday events in Treforest, Usk and Morriston, have each been beautiful times of prayer. Please God they bear much fruit!

Best wishes

Fr Matthew Roche-Saunders

In Children’s Liturgy this morning, the children learnt about the four disciples who left their boats to follow Jesus. They fished for fish to decorate to take home.

You may be asking yourself: HOW can I / we...

🤔 Seek first the Kingdom of God in a busy world?
🤔 Better engage our families with Christ?
🤔 Get to know Christ like your close friendships?
🤔 Help non-believers or newcomers?

*** Food Market - DID YOU KNOW? ***

Our 3 Churches Food Market, at St. Brigid's, has been breaking new ground...

40-60 guests turn up, each month, and have food & toiletries, costing £1000, thanks to generous parishioners, volunteers and supermarkets...

✝️ For the last two months we have added a Faith Table which includes: ✝️

🙏 Our Welcome Leaflet
🙏 Booklets & bookmarks
🙏 Our Christian Grapevine magazine
🙏 Hillsong music
🙏 Flowers and grapes!
🙏 Prayer & Praise (Thanks) exercise books

We've invited guests to record prayer requests, in one book, and thanks for anyone or anything, in the other. Volunteers read both and collectively pray for the intentions, once guests have left.

🙂 We were pleasantly surprised by the following response 🙂

➡️ Month 1: Prayers (1.5 pages). Thanks (1 page )
➡️ Month 2: Prayers (2 pages). Thanks (2 pages)

✝️Faith is food for life, priceless and which we are sharing in our community spaces✝️

There's still time to take a Welcome Leaflet to give to a neighbour or stranger. Post it, pop it in a card or hand it to them to spark an interest in Church life or attending Mass. An updated leaflet is also available to download from our website, www.3churches.org. We're delivering a third batch to Llanishen PO so that they won't miss the last post, either!
