We're a church family passionate about making Jesus known and we would love to welcome you! We enjoy the independence of “proprietary chapel” status.

We are a Anglican Evangelical church established in 1873 and part of the Church of England. Effectively this means we are an Anglican congregation but without a parish. Our Minister is ordained in the Church of England and licensed by the Bishop of Derby. We are primarily concerned with biblical, evangelical Christianity. We hold to the historic creeds, the Reformed doctrine of the 39 Articles (the doctrinal basis of the Church of England) and the Anglican understanding that ordained leaders of local congregations are to be pastor teachers of the Bible. However we recognise the need for continual spiritual reformation under the Word of God and commit ourselves to that.

At our All Age Service, we were learning about the Lord's Prayer. Our prayers aren't to an unapproachable king but to our Heavenly Father.

At Mini Heroes yesterday, we had a great time learning more about who Jesus is. As well as baking bread and playing games, we heard that Jesus cares and provides. Jesus showed this when he miraculously fed thousands of people from a small packed lunch. 🥖🐟 How wonderful it is that he cares for and provides for us, too!

What a joyful morning as we celebrated the baptism of one of the newest members of our Trinity church family! We look forward to encouraging and supporting his parents as they bring him up on Team Jesus.

Big thanks to all who brought food for the church family lunch & who helped set up, serve & clear up.

It's shoebox time again! As usual, we are supporting Blythswood and its Shoebox Appeal to send packages of love and hope to people in need in Eastern Europe. Want to join in and bring joy to someone this Christmas? Pick up a leaflet in church or find it on the Blythswood website, follow the instructions to pack up your shoebox, and bring it to Trinity by 1st November.

Christianity isn’t just a set of ideas, rules, or philosophies. At its heart, it’s about a person to know - a person who shows us exactly what God is like, and what he thinks. Christianity is about Jesus Christ.

Starting on 7th October, you're invited to join us for Christianity Explored. Over seven sessions, Christianity Explored takes you through the Gospel of Mark - an eyewitness testimony about who Jesus is, why he came, and what it means for us today.

We’ll watch a short film together that will kick off the conversation, then continue it in groups. Come with your questions, but be prepared - the answers may surprise you.

When: Wednesday evenings, starting on 7th October. Refreshments from 7.45pm for a 8pm start.

Where: Trinity Church main lounge

For more info or to sign up: DM us or check out trinitybuxton.org.uk/courses
