Tomorrow morning we will look at blessed are the meek as we continue on in our beatitudes series.
Biblical meekness is not weakness or passivity. It is strength surrendered to God.
Jesus shows us a humility that does not need to dominate, prove itself or demand its own way. The meek trust God and respond to others with gentleness, courage and self-control.

Can you believe in God and still have doubts?
What if you disagree with parts of Christianity?
What if church hasn’t always been a good experience?
What if you don’t even know where to begin?
Faith is too important for pretending.
At Emmanuel, you can ask honest questions, take your time and explore who Jesus is without being rushed or talked down to.
Bring your questions.
We have plenty of our own.

This Sunday at 11am, we are meeting for our Family all in Service, something we do on the first Sunday of every month.

After the service we gather for our ‘Bring & Share’, where everyone is invited to bring along some food and enjoy a time of fellowship, community and sharing together.

come along this Sunday, we would love to see you there!

SUNDAY RECAP

Nobody promised us hakuna matata. Following Jesus is more like a spring: always moving forward, highs and lows included. And if you’re in a low right now, your tears aren’t a lack of faith. “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” Matthew 5:4

Send this to someone who needs it today.

This Sunday.

Jesus does not ask us to ignore pain or pretend everything is fine. This message explores honest lament, the comfort of God and how becoming like Jesus means learning to grieve what He grieves.

Sunday is where we gather.
But community is built in all the quieter moments around it.
Around dinner tables. In living rooms. Through messages that ask, “How are you really?” Through prayer, practical help and people showing up when they’re needed.
At Emmanuel, we want church to feel less like an event you attend and more like a community you can be part of.
There’s a place for you here.

Sunday 20th
To be poor in spirit is to recognise that we cannot save, change or sustain ourselves. Jesus begins with dependence rather than achievement. The kingdom belongs to those who know their need and come to God with empty hands, trusting His grace rather than their own goodness or strength.
