It is with great sadness that the Officers and Brethren of Newmill Purple Invincibles LOL 222 learn of the passing of Brother Leslie Wallace.

Leslie was a much-loved friend and a highly respected and dedicated member of our Lodge for many years. His commitment, friendship and contribution to the Lodge will always be remembered. In recent years, Leslie became an Honorary Member of Newmill Purple Invincibles LOL 222, a fitting recognition of the esteem in which he was held by his fellow Brethren.

We extend our heartfelt sympathy and sincere condolences to Brother Jody Wallace, Leslie’s son and a member of Newmill Purple Invincibles LOL 222, to his wife Patricia, and to the wider Wallace family at this very difficult time.

May the many happy memories of Leslie bring comfort to his family and friends in the days ahead. His friendship and presence will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.

Funeral Arrangements:
The Service of Thanksgiving will be held on Saturday 22nd August at 10:00am in Second Donegore Presbyterian Church.

Today is the day!

The Officers and Brethren of Newmill Purple Invincibles LOL 222 look forward to welcoming everyone to the Irvine McKnight Memorial Tractor & Truck Run.

We hope to see a fantastic turnout as we come together to remember our late friend Irvine McKnight while raising much-needed funds for Diabetes UK Northern Ireland, a charity that meant so much to him.

📍 Start: Jim Baker Stadium
🕡 Registration: From 6:30pm
🚜 Run leaves: 7:00pm

Whether you're taking part with your tractor or truck, or simply coming along to support, your presence will help make a real difference.

We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable evening and thank you in advance for your generosity and continued support. Together, let's make this a fitting tribute to Irvine and help raise vital funds for a fantastic cause.

Only a few more days until our tractor and truck run, we hope to see as many of you all come out to help raise funds for a great charity Diabetes UK Northern Ireland.

The route has been set it will be incorporating 3 of our local villages starting at Jim Baker Stadium making way down into Parkgate then onto Doagh via the Burn road, from there we make way to Burnside via Bridge Road and Burnside Road then up to the iconic Holestone. We then will be cutting across the Ballymena line to the Newmill Road, up the Hollybank Road onto Browndod Road, Connor Road then down Ballywee Road past the scenic Ballywee Cornmill and Waterwheel, with the last stretch heading back to Parkgate via the Hollybank and Grange roads then finishing back at the Jim Baker Stadium.

There will then be food and refreshments in the bowling stadium once the run gets finished.

Please all give a share far and wide and if you know know someone with a tractor or truck old and new let them know as sure be a great day.

Only 1 week until our Irvine Mcknight Memorial Tractor and Truck run. 🚜🚛 be great to see a great turn out for a such well known and loved local man of Parkgate, who enjoyed anything that was a tractor or just somthing that had an engine.

What a truly fantastic and memorable 12th of July for everyone at Newmill Purple Invincibles LOL 222!

We were honoured to parade through the streets of Larne, joining thousands of Brethren in celebrating our rich history, culture and heritage. It was a day filled with friendship, fellowship and pride, and it was wonderful to return to our hall afterwards to continue the celebrations with our families, friends and fellow Brethren.

A very special word of thanks goes to Denise Coleman, our very own lone piper, who proudly piped us from the hall in the morning and welcomed us home again in the evening. Your dedication and talent added so much to our day, and we are incredibly grateful.

As another memorable Twelfth comes to a close, our thoughts are already turning to next year. We are excited to begin preparations for the 2027 Twelfth celebrations in Antrim Town, where Killead District LOL No. 17 has the honour of being the host District.

We look forward to playing our part in making it a day to remember as we continue to celebrate our faith, heritage and traditions together.

🟣🟠Happy & Glorious 12th of July!🟠🟣

From all the Officers and Brethren of Newmill Purple Invincibles LOL 222, we would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Glorious Twelfth.

Today, thousands of Orangemen, accompanied by bands, families and supporters, take to the roads to commemorate the Battle of the Boyne. For members of the Orange Institution, the day marks the victory of King William III and is observed as a celebration of civil and religious liberty, faith, heritage, and traditions that have been passed from generation to generation.

As we celebrate, let us also remember those who came before us, whose commitment and sacrifice helped preserve the traditions we cherish today. We hope this is a day of friendship, respect, fellowship and safe enjoyment for all taking part in the celebrations across Northern Ireland and beyond.

May God bless you all, grant everyone a safe journey, and may you enjoy a Happy and Glorious 12th of July!

🗓️ Sunday 12th July & Monday 13th July 🇬🇧

On Sunday, we will join with our friends in Tildarg LOL 632, Templepatrick LOL No. 466 and Doagh LOL 370 for our annual Combine Church Service in Parkgate. Parading to 1st Donegore Presbyterian Church at 3pm.

Then on Monday we travel to Larne for the East Antrim Demonstration.

Newmill Orange Hall will open at 8am.

We hope to see all our freinds and family on the day and we welcome everyone from the local community to come back and join us in the hall after for supper and refreshments. 🇬🇧🇬🇧

Join us on Friday, 7th August 2026 for the annual Irvine McKnight Memorial Tractor & Truck Run.

🕖 Run Departs: 7:00pm sharp

After the run, everyone is invited back for food and refreshments.

This special event is being held in aid of Diabetes UK Northern Ireland , a charity that was very close to Irvine's heart.

Lest We Forget – 110 Years Since the Battle of the Somme

Today, we mark the 110th anniversary of the beginning of the Battle of the Somme, one of the most defining and tragic battles of the Great War.

We remember with pride and gratitude all who served, and in particular the brave men of the 36th (Ulster) Division, whose courage and sacrifice at Thiepval on 1st July 1916 became legendary. They answered the call of duty with unwavering determination, many making the ultimate sacrifice so that future generations could live in freedom.

Their bravery, comradeship, and selflessness will never be forgotten. As we stand in remembrance, we honour not only those who fell, but every man who served and endured the horrors of the Somme.

Their courage. Their sacrifice. Our freedom.
May we always remember the debt we owe to those who gave so much.

🌺 At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them. 🌺
