Although we don't have a new Company number yet, we do have a new Chaplain, Rev Paul Reid. Joanne Morrison and I were delighted to present Paul with his Chaplain badge where he formally welcomed the GB into the Old Presbyterian Church, Templepatrick. Thank you all for the warm welcome we have received!

'Unstoppable' - even in the drizzle, these girls were yesterday, even the drizzle didn't dampen the smiles or the fear in Barrys/Currys, they overcame it all! 😁😁

We had a brilliant sleepover with some of the company section girls on Friday night, craft, artistry, baking, food and movies heading to Rosepark Farm Ballymoney on Saturday and then some time in Barrys, Portrush before heading home tonight, an amazing 24hrs with fantastic girls!

Sadly this marks the end of Lylehill Girls Brigade in its current form, after 54 years of Christian ministry to girls and young women, having been formed by the late Rev Ivan & Mrs Carol Wilson and led for its first 25 years by Ruby Erwin, our first Captain, followed by Ann-Maree Lorimer and currently myself. Sadly Lylehill Presbyterian Church will close at the end of August as will the GB BUT we are opening under the auspices of the Old Presbyterian, Templepatrick, who have been so supportive and accommodating to us. Where God closed a door, He opened a window and we flew through it, we are very excited about this new opportunity and look forward to seeing you all on Friday 4 Sept in our new premises and a new name!

As we look forward to this new beginning, we ask for your prayers as we transition and for your continued support into the future.

We had a lovely night with the girls and some parents for our BBQ, the weather was kind to us, the rain stayed away and the girls did what girls do - chatted for ever and the wee ones enjoyed the bouncy castle slide!
