Our friends in Boyd Memorial Loyal Orange Lodge No.312 unveiled and dedicated a new lambeg drum in memory of the late Wor. Bro. Billy Thompson, Past District Master of Sixmilewater District No. 10 and Past County Grand Secretary.

Billy was a massive supporter of our whole District and a great friend to our lodge, providing assistance and guidance from Secretary business to sourcing and applying for grant funding and a great friend and brother to our members.

Congratulations to LOL 312 on a very fitting evening for a true gentleman and friend to many.

The monthly meeting of Templepatrick LOL 466 was held last night and we were delighted to welcome a new member in to the lodge.

This was the first new member in to LOL 466 in a few years and it was great to welcome him to the 466 family AND this is only the start as we're hoping to have another member brought in next month.

At the recent district meeting of Sixmilewater District, new County Antrim Murdered Brethren scrolls were presented to each of the lodges in the District for display in their halls.

The scrolls were designed by the County Antrim Cultural and Educational committee and will be displayed in every Orange Hall in County Antrim.

LOL 466 held our monthly lodge meeting last night, beginning with an Easter scripture reading by the lodge Chaplain.

It was great to have good numbers in attendance and even better to end the meeting with 2 new members being proposed to join the lodge in the coming months.

As is now a monthly tradition, we finished the evening with a cup of tea and time of friendship and fellowship after the closing of the meeting.

Last night was the turn of RBP 822 to hold their installation of officers in Templepatrick War Memorial Orange Hall. A re-election of all officers in block for another year made the job of the District officers in attendance an easy one but the thanks of Preceptory go to all the District officers and visitors for giving up their time and making the evening possible nonetheless.

After the meeting, there was a light supper enjoyed by those in attendance.

Wishing the Worshipful Master, Deputy Master and officers of Preceptory a successful year in office.

Membership would be open to boys aged 6–17, with a wide range of activities including trips, football, competitions, quizzes, movie and games nights, as well as learning about history and faith in a fun and supportive environment.

Thursday evening saw our March monthly meeting of LOL 466 and it was fantastic to have one of our members who lives in England in attendance. A really good meeting with plans in place for some of our events throughout 2026.

Every month as part of our meeting, an extract from one of the victims books are read and this month was the below extract about the Massereene Murders of Sappers Mark Quinsey and Patrick Azimkar. Today marks the 17th anniversary of this horrific atrocity, just a few miles from Templepatrick.

No matter what Sinn Fein try to tell us, there was ALWAYS an alternative. We must never let history be rewritten.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our friends in Major Sinclair Memorial Pipe Band on hearing of the passing of their Chairman, Cartie McAlister.

Cartie was also an esteemed member of Kilbride Bible & Crown 1107 orange lodge in our district.

Our deepest sympathies go to Cartie's family and friends and to both Major Sinclair Memorial and LOL 1107.
