Crescent Fort Rouge United Church, serving Winnipeg since 1893, is a traditional yet innovative place to worship. The pipe organ, baby grand piano and choir set a musical high standard with a wide repertoire. Our membership is diverse in age and experience - and it's a big sanctuary: there's always room for more! Come and try church again for the first time.

Make Art! An Arts Inclusion Symposium 🎨 🎭

Arts practice combats loneliness and isolation. Arts practice supports self-esteem and self-expression by offering new ways to communicate using sound, rhythm, drawing, colour or movement.

This Symposium explores how arts practice can become more accessible for adults with intellectual disabilities.

We’re heading into the Winter months 🌨️ soon and there’s no time like the present to help 1JustCity stock up their shelves! 👕🪥☕

We are continuing to collect winter attire and non-perishable foodstuffs for our 1JustCity partners. Hygiene Items for showers (soap, any size shampoo), coffee, white sugar, white flour and cooking oil.

Items can be left at CFRUC on Friday mornings when Terry is in the office. Look for the Blue Box marked "1 Just City".

Monetary donations are also accepted through their site and they also have a gift guide to look through!

1JustCity is a non-profit, charitable organization that supports three drop-in community centres in Winnipeg’s core neighbourhoods: West Broadway, West Central and Osborne Village. Our services include daily meals, art, senior’s programs, sharing circles, haircuts, showers, laundry, toiletries, and clean undergarments. In the winter months we also run the pop up warming centre in Osborne Village: Just a Warm Sleep.

Prevent Elder Abuse Manitoba & Fraud Prevention

This informative presentation by PEAM provide an overview of elder abuse, including: what it is, how to recognize the warning signs and what actions can be taken to help. Also included is an interactive presentation to help older adults recognize common types of fraud and scams and to learn practical strategies to protect themselves. Learn what to do if experiencing fraud, including how to respond, report concerns, and support older adults.
