05/26/2026
Alhamdulillah! Today, Tuesday May 26, 2026, is the Day of Arafah (9th Dhul Hijjah 1447 AH) — one of the most blessed days of the entire year. May Allah accept from us all. 🤲
📖 Key Ahadith on the Day of Arafah
1. The Greatest Day of Forgiveness
“There is no day on which Allah frees people from the Fire more so than the Day of Arafah. He comes close to those standing on Arafah, and then He revels before His Angels saying, ‘What are these people seeking.’” (Sahih Muslim)
2. Fasting Expiates Two Years of Sins
“Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year.” (Sahih Muslim)
3. Hajj is Arafah
One hadith says that “Hajj is Arafah.” (Abu Dawud) — meaning Arafah is the very sum and substance of the entire Hajj pilgrimage.
4. Shaytan’s Most Humiliating Day
“Shaitan is not considered more abased or more cast out or more contemptible or angrier on any other day than on the Day of Arafah. That is only because he sees the descent of the mercy and Allah’s disregard for great wrong actions.” (Malik)
5. The Best of Days
“The best of days is the Day of Arafah.” (Sahih Ibn Hibban)
🤲 Duas to Make on the Day of Arafah
The #1 Most Recommended Dua
The Prophet ﷺ said: “The best dua is the dua of the Day of Arafah,” and then gave us the exact words:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ، لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ
Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah, lahul mulku wa lahul ḥamd, wa huwa ʿalā kulli shayʾin qadīr.
“There is no god worthy of worship except Allah, alone, with no partner. To Him belongs all dominion and all praise, and He has power over all things.”
(Sunan al-Tirmidhi 3585)
Repeat this abundantly throughout the day.

⏰ Best Window for Dua Today
The most blessed window for dua on the Day of Arafah is from Dhuhr (midday) through to Maghrib (sunset) — the same hours pilgrims spend standing at Mount Arafat. Many scholars recommend dedicating the final hour before Maghrib to extended, focused supplication, as the Prophet ﷺ emphasised that no dua is rejected during this time.
✅ Quick Checklist for Today
To maximise blessings: begin your day with Tahajjud, fast the full day, ensure all obligatory prayers are prayed on time, make abundant heartfelt duas for yourself, your family, and the entire Ummah.
Also reflect on the past year’s actions, seek to rectify shortcomings, ask for forgiveness, and thank Allah for His blessings.
May Allah accept your fast, your duas, and free you from the Fire today. Ameen! 🤍
