DON’T GIVE UP ON PRAYER 🙏

COO Jeena Xu closed off our Acts 2 series with one final reminder — keep knocking, keep seeking, keep praying. The answer to your prayer might already be at the door.

For the last 4 weeks, we’ve been learning the 4 pillars of a healthy and growing church:
1️⃣ TEACHING
2️⃣ COMMUNITY
3️⃣ GENEROSITY
4️⃣ PRAYER

Don't give up on prayer.

In Week 4 of our ACTS 2 series, we close out the four pillars with the most personal one — Prayer.

Maybe you've been praying for years and nothing has changed. Maybe God feels silent. Maybe you're exhausted from asking and not seeing an answer. This message is for you.

Through the story of Peter's miraculous release from prison in Acts 12, we discover three powerful truths about what prayer actually does — and what happens to us when we stop.

Why is the pillar of Prayer important?
Earnest prayer reframes our mind — it doesn't always change what we face, but it changes how we face it
Faith-filled prayer moves the hand of God — prayer reaches places human strategy never can
Persistent prayer opens doors to breakthrough — the answer may already be at the door

What happens when we stop praying?
We crumble under pressure — your prayer in private prepares you for pressure in public
Our convictions become compromised — the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak without prayer
We lose sight of our purpose — without prayer, life overwhelms us and we drift from who God called us to be

"Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you." — Matthew 7:7

While the church was praying inside the house, God was already working inside the prison. They couldn't see the angel. They couldn't hear the chains falling. The gate had already opened. They just had to keep praying.

Don't let disappointment make you give up on prayer. Don't let delay make you give up on prayer. Don't let what you cannot see make you give up on prayer.

Keep knocking. The answer may be right outside the door.

Key Scriptures:
Acts 2:42-47 — The 4 pillars of a healthy church
Acts 12:1-17 — Peter's miraculous release from prison through prayer
Matthew 26:36-43 — Jesus warns Peter to keep watch and pray
Matthew 7:7-8 — Keep asking, seeking, and knocking
Matthew 17:20 — Faith as small as a mustard seed moves mountains

This is Week 4 of 4 in our ACTS 2 series — four pillars every church should follow:
1️⃣ Whatever You Listen To Is Shaping You
2️⃣ Community & Communion — Why You Can't Do Life Alone
3️⃣ You Will Be Remembered for What You Give Away
4️⃣ Prayer

We can’t control what people do… but we CAN control how we respond 😭 and sometimes that takes a whole lot of Jesus 👀

Consider this your sign to come to church this SUNDAY!

JESUS IS THE BEST DECISION YOU CAN EVER MAKE. 🤍

A reminder for this week: choosing Jesus means choosing something greater than anything this world could ever offer. Whatever you’re holding onto, trust that God has something better in store for you. Keep choosing Him, even when it’s hard.

YOU DON’T HAVE TO LIVE AFRAID OF NOT HAVING ENOUGH. 🤍

This Sunday, we learned that God’s provision is what makes generosity possible. He promises to provide what we need, giving us the freedom to open our hands and share what He’s given us with others.

Generosity isn’t about having more—it’s about trusting God with what we already have. When He is our Provider, we can give without fear. 🙌🏼

Come join us for next Sunday’s topic: Prayer! 🙏🏼

You will be remembered for what you give away — not for what you keep.

In Week 3 of our ACTS 2 series, Vancouver Campus Director Leroy Ampana unpacks the third pillar found in Acts 2:42-47 that every healthy and growing church must be built on — Generosity.

And before you clench up — this message is not about forcing anyone to give. Generosity must be voluntary or it isn't generosity at all. This message is about falling in love with being a generous person — because we serve a generous God, and we were made in His image.

Why is the pillar of Generosity important?
Generosity reveals how we give — are you a stock market giver or a sower?
God's sufficiency enables generosity — He provides for us first so we can overflow to others
Generosity meets needs and glorifies God — your giving is seed sown into soil others will harvest from

What happens when we don't prioritize generosity?
Greed becomes our idol — abundance exposes what's really hiding in our hearts
We disguise fear as wisdom — "being smart with money" can just be fear wearing a mask
What you don't give eventually gets taken away — earthly wealth that isn't given away converts to nothing eternal

"Remember this — a farmer who plants only a few seeds will get a small crop. But the one who plants generously will get a generous crop." — 2 Corinthians 9:6

"Yes, a person is a fool to store up earthly wealth but not have a rich relationship with God." — Luke 12:21

Generosity is the only way earthly resources convert into something eternal. Build the church you want your kids to grow up in.

Key Scriptures:
Acts 2:42-47 — The 4 pillars of a healthy church
2 Corinthians 9:6-12 — The fullest teaching on generosity in Scripture
Luke 12:16-21 — The parable of the rich fool
Psalm 112 — Good deeds will be remembered forever
Malachi 3:10 — Bring all the tithes into the storehouse

This is Week 3 of 4 in our ACTS 2 series — four pillars every church should follow:
1️⃣ Whatever You Listen To Is Shaping You
2️⃣ Community & Communion
3️⃣ Generosity
4️⃣ Prayer

Don't miss a single week. Each pillar builds on the last.

God’s ready to start a fire! 🔥

If you’ve been feeling like your fire has gone out, get around the flame.

Sometimes all it takes is getting back into the presence of God and around people who are burning for Him. ❤️‍🔥

See you this Sunday!

IRON SHARPENS IRON ⚔️

Here’s the thing about iron — it can’t sharpen itself. No matter how strong it is, it needs contact with something else to become effective.

And the same goes with us. This Sunday, COO Jeena Xu taught us that the right people don’t just make life better — they make you sharper, more effective, and push you closer to who God called you to be.

Tag someone who’s been an iron in your life 👇
