A Statement on Islamophobic Attack on OC Transpo

CU-MSA strongly condemns the Islamophobic attack against a 19 year old Muslim woman on OC Transpo.

No student should fear for their safety because of their faith. We call on our institutions to take real action to protect Muslim students on and off campus.

We stand in full solidarity with the victim. If you need support, reach out to [email protected] or DM us.

A Statement on the Headscarf Ban in Azerbaijan

On September 21st, 2026, the government of Azerbaijan renewed and codified dress codes prohibiting the hijab in public schools and universities, later extending these restrictions to teachers.

No woman should ever have to choose between pursuing her education and practicing her faith. As university students, we stand in solidarity with the women and girls in Azerbaijan fighting for their right to education and personal freedom.
