A great family Church - with a warm welcome to all!

St Mark’s and friends please be aware that there is an email circulating that claims to be from the Rev’d Mary-Cate and asks you to make purchases (gift cards etc) on her behalf. This is a scam. Please know that the Rector and church staff will NEVER ask you to purchase gift cards or any other items on their behalf. If you are unsure call or email Mary-Cate or check in with the office. If you’ve already responded please reach out to Mary-Cate. It’s easy to get caught by these emails.

On Saturday we marked the Feast of St Francis by blessing the animals in our lives. Friends and family and even a passerby brought their pet companions for a blessing and a treat. On a beautiful autumn day we gave thanks for our animals past and present and for all who help and love them. Thanks to Sydney Faubert for her 'Bark by Smudge' treats for the puppies. Thanks to Suja and Suzanne for photos

On Wednesday September 23rd we marked the official beginning of our journey together with the Rev’d Mary-Cate. The Celebration of New Ministry was a joyful evening with parishioners, friends and clergy from near and far. And there was food! Lots of food!! Thanks to all for the contributions and support. What a party it was!

On Sunday we bid farewell to the Ojo family who are moving away from Ottawa. From servers to coffee hour host and baker extraordinaire, parish council. committee work and much, much more, the Ojos have contributed so much to the life of St Mark's. God's blessings on them in their new home together. We will miss all you!

Yesterday a group from St Mark’s visited the Summer Solstice Indigenous Festival at Wesley Clover Park. Iffy weather meant the Pow Wow moved inside but spirits were not dampened and we all had a good time watching the dancers and the Grand Entry . Today we celebrated the National Indigenous Day of Prayer at our 8 and 10 services. One of our parishioners Gillian (at right in blue of photo) wore her ‘Reconciliation’ shawl that she knit
