Last Sunday Parkwood said adieu to James Hurd, our minister for the last 25 years. This Sunday our guest speaker is Rev. Chris Clarke, our Interim Moderator, appointed by the Presbytery of Ottawa to guide us through the process of searching for a new minister.
Pastor Chris has chosen as the theme for his message "New Beginnings". We will also celebrate the sacrament of The Lord's Supper.

Brian Doerksen gave voice to the Church for worship.

An invitation to “Come” because now is the time.
A single desire to be “Refined” by the fire of the Spirit.
A promise that under the “Shelter” of Grace, all find love.
A confidence that Jesus is the “Hope” for all the nations.
A trust in the “Faithful One” who never changes.

Brian’s voice is not gone but graduated. His gift to the Church remains in the echo of our worship.

Laugh Again expresses our deep appreciation and loss. Our prayers enfold his family. Our grief and gratitude meld into glory to God.

SUMMER MID-WEEK FELLOWSHIP... “Why do Christians believe what we believe?” This activity takes place on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer. Our theme this year is “Apologetics”, which is a big word saying, “Why we believe Christianity is true”. We’ll explore key questions that provide the basis for our faith. This is a great opportunity to gather informally during the summer and to be strengthened in faith and hope, that we may be equipped to know and share the love of Jesus Christ for us. Everyone is welcome. Come for cold drinks and conversation at 6:30 p.m. A video presentation and discussion for adults will be hosted in the Gathering Place, from 7 to 8 p.m., and activities for children will be offered in the Fellowship Hall at the same time. Come, and invite others to come too!
