Today is Red Dress Day, a day of prayer and action for missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls. Please hold them in your prayers this week.

Indigenous women and girls make up less than 5% of the Canadian population but represent approximately 24% of all homicide victims. Twice as many Indigenous people in Canada identity as Anglican than in the total population. The missing sisters are our own.

Red Dress Day, held every May 5th, is a National Day of remembrance and activism honouring the lives of MMIWG2S.

BLESSING OF THE GARDENS

On May 10th, there will be a blessing of the gardens as part of the Sunday service. If you'd like, bring a container of soil or a plant from your own garden to be blessed as the growing season begins.
