Jewish Niagara

Jewish Niagara A warm and welcoming hub for Jewish life in the Niagara Region - for every single Jew, period. Chabad of Niagara extends a welcoming hand to all Jews.

Chabad Lubavitch of Niagara serves both the tens of thousands of Jewish tourists which come through our historic town, as well as the hundreds of Jewish families in the Niagara Region. Established in September of 2005, under the auspices of Chabad Lubavitch of Ontario, the Chabad Center has seen a sprint growth in their early initiatives in reaching out to every Jew who enters the region limits. H

eaded by Rabbi Shneur Zalman and Perla Zaltzman along with their four young children, they bring a young and friendly feeling to each and every Jew they meet, notwithstanding their background or affiliation. In accordance with the philosophy of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneersohn, the founder and leader of the Chabad Lubavitch Global Network, the center continues to be a source of spiritual, material, and social needs for the Jewish community. Chabad of Niagara provides a full array of exciting educational activities and programs for the entire family, with the intention of promoting Jewish knowledge, awareness and practice to both young and old. We also offer special services for educational institutions and organizations in assisting them with their efforts to increase Jewish knowledge and commitment in the community at large. It has established contact with families in towns and cities beyond the well-established Jewish area. We will go the world over to help each and every Jew. So whether you are a tourist or a local family moving into town, feel free to contact us for anything you may need. We want to make your stay or move, one of true comfort and relaxation. ABOUT

Last night, on Yom Hazikaron (Israel’s Remembrance Day for fallen soldiers and terror victims), members of the Bibas family visited Niagara Falls and “lit” the Falls orange in memory of Ariel, Kfir and Shiri A”h and all terror victims.

At this exclusive VIP tour of the Niagara Falls Illumination Tower, it was moving to witness this historic moment as Eli Bibas (Yarden’s father) operated the lighting control pad and switched the colours of the Falls to orange, on Yom Hazikaron.

Thank you to our dear friend, Niagara Falls Mayor and the Niagara Parks for your unwavering support to our community.

Thank you to Isaac Dykopf, a dear community member, for capturing professional photos of this special tribute.

We wish Yarden, the Bibas and Silverman families, an abundance of strength and comfort on this difficult journey of heart-wrenching mourning and grief.

Ariel, Kfir and Shiri have a warm, cherished and permanent place in the hearts of the Niagara Jewish Community, and truly in all of our hearts, in all corners of the world.
