Come join us this Sunday, June 7th at 7pm for our Memorial/Celebration Hymn Sing, “United in Song”! Besides the singing of favourite hymns, a lovely evening of music will be presented by Central United’s choir under the direction of John Scott. Special Gifts of Music will also be shared by Central’s Handbell Choir, Hannah Ernst, Natasha Backs, Anne Tipler, Christy Corkum and Brittany & Charlee Francis, as well as Reverend Daniel. Free will offerings will be welcomed at the door in support of upgrading our sanctuary sound system. Looking forward to seeing you on Sunday!

Joining with over 100 other communities of faith across Canada, Central has created a new space of welcome and hospitality beyond our church walls, and we invite our community to check it out!
This space will continue to grow and evolve over the coming months, but for now, we want simply to say - "No matter who you are, no matter what your story - there is always a place for you here at our table!"

Our friend, Rick Pryce, former pastor at Zion Lutheran, has co-authored a book with the Rev. Laura-Marie Piotrowicz, entitled “What Is This Prayer Stuff Anyway? An Exploration of How Prayer is More Than Words.”
Rick is hosting a Book Launch for the Lunenburg churches this Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church, 65 Fox St., beginning at 1:00 p.m.
(Please use the entrance at York and Cornwallis.)

April 22nd is Earth Day.
Today, we share this message from United Church Moderator, Kimberly Heath, about the importance of praying, learning and acting for climate justice in our world today.

"We are in a climate emergency," the Moderator says. "We need to be leaders that seek balance, repair relations, and live with respect for Creation for today, and for seven generations."

During Earth Week, April 19-26, hold or attend an event to pray, learn, and act for climate justice. Call for climate leadership from your Member of Parliament. Let's work together, for the Love of Creation.
