Join us Sunday on May 3rd at St. John’s United 9am and at Trinity United at 11am as we celebrate the blessing of the animals! 🐶🐱🐰🐷🐕‍🦺🐓🐟
We are inviting folks to bring along pets, stuffed toys, photos or objects (for any pets who’d prefer to stay home), or any animals you feel need a blessing or would like to see blessed, as we pray, celebrate and bless each and every one of them!
The theme for both St. John’s and Trinity’s worship services will be blessing all animals of God’s creation so we encourage to bring photos, stuffed toys, and animal names to both services!
Live animals are encouraged to join for the second half of the 11am service (at around 11:40am) where the majority of blessings will given outside - There will be a small tent in case of rain.
Come bless and be blessed in the presence of God’s beloved creatures big and small!

Two days left of prayer centres!

PRAYERS CENTRES: Thur. April 2nd & Fri. April 3rd 3:30pm-8:30pm. Saturday April 4th 10am-4pm. Held at Trinity United in the Hall. 3543 Highway 332, Rose Bay, NS.

Looking for a way to slow down and spend time with God? Curious about faith and spirituality and want to explore it at your own pace? Looking to deepen your connection with God and practice mindfulness?

Join us for some spiritual renewal at our Holy Week Prayer Centres.

Everyone is welcome. You might be a regular to our church, or just visiting from another church/community/tradition/denomination, or you might not be or identify with any specific church/faith tradition but are looking for a way to experience prayer in interactive ways. Although all are welcome we’ve learned this is a most suitable experience for ages 12 and older.

You decide individually what prayer centres to visit and how long to spend at each one. This is a quiet, and independent go-at-your-own-pace experience. There is no pressure to stay for any specific duration or time or visit every station, only do what is right for you.

The hall is set up for you to explore the interactive stations on your own. There is no set time length or order that you must abide by - it is a time to slow down to be with God. You move from station to station set up at tables with chairs in our hall and you engage with the activity. One is writing a letter to God, one is praying with nature elements, one is taste. For Holy Week there will be themed stations inviting us deeper as we contemplate our relationship with Christ and our understanding of the cross, of Palm Sunday, Good Friday, Easter and more. Many feel “at peace”, “close to God” or “transformed” during and after the experience.
