Happy Missional Monday!

Missional Monday is a weekly post where we suggest practical ways that we can be living missionally for Christ in our community, Geneva House, or in our personal lives.

As we begin the new school year we want to encourage everyone to live missionally by helping build a strong Christian community here at Queen’s and in Kingston. We can do this by welcoming new students, reaching out to people we meet at church, inviting friends out to events, praying for others and the ministries, and all around making an effort to make those around us feel loved and cared for. Geneva House is made up of a wonderful group of people - let’s continue to spread this love and grow our community.

We offer life groups for grad students and young professionals ages 22-30!!! 🙌🏻

Grad & Beyond is a ministry affiliated with Bay Park Baptist Church, Bethel Church, and Momentum Campus Ministries. Our life groups are designed for young adults over 22 years old including graduate students and young professionals. Our groups meet weekly to study the Bible together, pray for and with each other, and engage with our community through missional living.

The Well is BACK!!!💧

Join us tonight, Sept 6th from 7pm-9pm at Bethel Church (314 Johnson St.) for The Well kickoff! We will be starting off the year with games starting at 7pm and a time of worship at 8:10pm! Small groups will be starting the following week🙌🏻🤍

A note to our first years…

We asked our upper years what piece of advice they wish they knew when transitioning into University, swipe to see what they said!

We are so excited to be offering a first year integration program here at Geneva! We pair up an upper year with a first year so that they can show them around, take them out for coffee and support them in the change! If you are a first year interested, sign up through our general sign up form and we will get in contact with you ASAP:)

In this busy season of exams, final assignments, moving, and finding jobs, it can feel easy for burdens, worries, and responsibilities to pile up on top of you and exhaust you. It's so important to rest during this time.

In Matthew chapter 11, Jesus said to his disciples "come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest."

We can experience both physical and spiritual rest when we hand over our worries and burdens to the One who is in control of all things. Take little breaks from studying, packing, or assignments to relax, and give all of your worries to God in exchange for rest for your spirit.
