What is Spiritual Direction?
Spiritual Direction (SD) has been in the church virtually since its very beginning. God is speaking to all of us. A Spiritual Director is a friend who meets with you (weekly, monthly) to help you discern what God is saying in your life. Your spiritual director will provide you with spiritual 'tools', disciplines, and practices to help you in your Christian Journey as you follow Jesus Christ.
What a Spiritual Direction IS NOT:
SD is not counselling. The purpose is not to 'fix' you. A director may refer or recommend professional counselling if deemed necessary.
What does SD look like? How is it done?
SD is a confidential meeting primarily between the director and the directee (one-on-one), although it can be done in groups as well. Sessions usually last between 45 minutes to one hour, and are usually done weekly or monthly. Before SD begins both the Director and Directee sign a consent form stipulating the terms and conditions of the relationship.
SD can be done in person, or through Skype, Zoom, etc. which is quickly becoming the 'new normal' during the current world pandemic.
What does it mean to be a Certified Spiritual Director?
Paul and Heather are both candidates to be certified spiritual directors. To be certified means the director is recognized by a registered credentialing organization, and must comply with the organization's academic requirements and ethical standards. Currently we have both completed the training, but still need to finish the required 500 hours of SD for full certification.
How do we start doing SD with you?

Why the name 'HODOS'?
Hodos (or Ho Hodos) is the Koine Greek word for The Way, and was the original 'name' of the Christian faith/Religion (cf. Acts 9:2).
