We come from every church background and no church background, with a desire to sing, pray, give thanks, find restoration, admit that we can’t go it alone, share gifts, and find ways t

o help each other and others in this city that we love and in the wider world. We meet Sunday mornings 10:30, at 2 Bond St N (corner of King St W). In July and August we meet at 10:00, and share services with two other churches in the neighbourhood.

Join us for worship Sunday Sept 13 at 1030 am
Miki Beldman is leading the service, the Rev Marijke Strong will be giving the reflection and leading Communion, and Bart Nameth is leading the music. We practice an open communion, all are welcome to God's table of grace.
A potluck lunch will follow the service, to which all are invited.

24/7 Prayer and GOHOP are hosting times of online prayer during the “Global Week of Prayer” (September 6-13), and we wanted to do something to coincide with this event. So we invited TrueCity churches to open their doors and host an Hour of Prayer, focussing on a different local issue that needs some prayer. We have had a beautiful response with many opportunities for prayer available, so if one (or more) of these issues are close to your heart, mark the date on your calendar and plan to come and spend some time in prayer with others in the city.

Stay tuned for where these times of prayer will be happening.

As wildfires continue to impact communities, we pause to lift up all those who have been affected.

We pray for the safety of families who have been displaced, the firefighters and emergency responders working tirelessly to protect our lands, and the community members supporting one another through these difficult times.

May Creator surround everyone with strength, comfort, hope, and healing. May the smoke clear, the fires be contained, and safer days come soon.

Our hearts are with every community facing these challenges.

The TrueCity Leadership Team is delighted to introduce Alice Plug-Buist as our next Network Developer.

A longtime resident of Hamilton, Alice is well known across the city for her passion for serving “the least of these” and helping Christians grow in their love for God and neighbour. She will be wrapping up her time later this summer as the Executive Director for Helping Hands Street Mission, and she also has extensive leadership experience as a board member of City Housing Hamilton, the Barton Village BIA, and Indwell.

“It’s an incredible honour and joy for me to take on the role with TrueCity. Jesus prayed for me and for all of us just before he went to the cross, and his prayer as that we would be “together”, so that the world might know that God sent Jesus. I am excited to take up the task of encouraging churches across Hamilton to find ways to work together, toward the greatest good of our City.”

We believe the Lord has brought Alice into this role for such a time as this, as we believe her experience in leadership, giftings, passion, and heart for cultivating unity will help the network continue to mature and thrive as Churches Together for the Good of the City.
