We are looking at the possibility of transforming the old basketball court at Carlisle United Church into a community pickleball court — and would love to hear from the community!
A local foundation has generously expressed interest in helping subsidize the construction costs, but community interest and support will play a big role in determining whether this project moves ahead.
Community fundraising/partnering would also likely be needed to help bring the project to life.
We are thinking:
🏓 A fun, active space for all ages
🌿 A way to revitalize an underused area
👨👩👧👦 An opportunity for community connection and recreation right here in Carlisle.
