✨ Looking Forward to Sunday! ✨

Join us this Sunday at Devon Park Baptist Church as Pastor Richard continues his series through the book of James with a message titled: "Oh, Be Careful Little Tongue What You Say" (James 3)

Our words have tremendous power, for good or for harm. Come be encouraged, challenged, and equipped by God's Word as we learn what James has to say about the tongue and the Christian life 🙌

Whether you're part of our church family, new to Devon Park, or simply curious about faith, you're warmly welcome to join us. Our service begins at 10:30 AM, but come 15 minutes early to get a cup of coffee and chat with some of the kindest people you'll meet. We'd love to see you there! 💙

And don't forget about prayer meeting this Wednesday at 7:00 PM, where Gerry Thornton will be leading our time in God's Word before we spend time praying together 🙏

Looking ahead to the summer, we're excited to be trying something a little different! From July 8 to August 12, our Wednesday gatherings will move into homes in smaller groups for Bible study and prayer together. If you'd be interested in hosting, please speak with Pastor Richard as soon as possible. Sign-up sheets will be available soon, so stay tuned!

We’re excited to welcome missionary Jason Anderson with us this Sunday! Jason and his wife serve with Word of Life Korea, helping lead camp and outreach ministries focused on sharing the hope of Jesus with Korean youth and equipping churches and leaders to reach the next generation with the Gospel 📖 Come ready to be encouraged as we hear how God is working through this vital ministry.

And church family, don’t forget about our Squash-Ins happening after the service! 🏡 These are always such a wonderful opportunity to enjoy friendship, food, laughter, and community together in a relaxed setting. If you signed up, make sure to check your email for your group assignment and important details sent out by Pastor Richard. If you haven’t received them, please reach out to him!

🌷 Mother’s Day at Devon Park Baptist 🌷

We’re looking forward to a very special Mother’s Day service this Sunday at 10:30 AM, and we hope you’ll join us! 💙 Whether you’re a mom, grandmother, daughter, or simply someone thankful for the godly women who have impacted your life, we’d love to celebrate together with you.

Come enjoy a welcoming atmosphere, encouraging music, and a message from God’s Word as we thank the Lord for the gift of mothers and faithful women. Everyone is warmly welcome, whether you’re part of our church family or starting to look into what Christianity is all about 😊

And ladies, don’t forget about the upcoming Ladies Luncheon featuring special guest Beth McMahon! 🌸 It’s going to be a wonderful time of fellowship, encouragement, and connection together. More details are available in the bulletin.

🍪🎲 GAMES NIGHT THIS FRIDAY! 🎲🍪

Last games night was crazy, fun, and delicious, and we can’t wait to do it again! 😄 Join us this Friday, May 1, from 6:30–8:30 PM for a terrific evening of laughs, fellowship, and friendly competition with the DPBC family. Bring a yummy nut-free dessert, a friend, and your favourite game (or fifteen, lol), and get ready for a wonderful time together 😎

Our community is always bigger than our four walls. Whether you’re a regular attendee or we haven't met you yet, you are so welcome here. Come as you are, and we can't wait to meet you! 💙

And before Friday gets here, don’t forget that prayer meeting is on TONIGHT! Join us from 7:00–8:00 PM to get encouraged from the Word of God and pray for those who need prayer 🙏

We’re also looking ahead with excitement to our Awana Closing Night next Wednesday, May 6 (there will be no prayer meeting that night). We’re so thankful for everyone who helps make this ministry possible each year, so please come celebrate with us that night at 6:30! 🎉
