Welcome to the Edmonton Initiative “YEG Against Racism” event!

Join us for an inspiring event where we stand together against racism! Sania Chaudhry will share her powerful insights on how we can make a difference. The event is the second in a series of events aiming at tackling the root causes of Racism and Discrimination in our society and brainstorming for how to keep our city culturally safe.

SMCC is pleased to announce the return of our annual Adha community BBQ!

This year our BBQ will take place on Sunday June 30, 2024 from 12:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Gold Bar Park Site 1 located at 10955 – 50 St. NW (Park site map shown for directions). Food will be served from 2:00 to 5:00 pm.

Tickets may be purchased from any Shura member for $10 per person. Kids under 6 are free.

We look forward to seeing you there Inshallah!

Ramadan will be starting tomorrow Monday March 11.

Taraweeh will start tonight after Isha'a Prayer (9:30 PM) at both Masjid Annoor and Annoor Islamic Centre.

The Southwest Muslim Community Centre will be holding Eid ul Adha prayers on Wednesday June 28 at the Annoor Islamic Centre (AIC) and Masjid Annoor (MA) at the following times:

Four Jamaa will be held at Annoor Islamic Centre (332 Saddleback Road NW, Edmonton):
First Jamaa - 6:30 AM
Second Jamaa - 7:15 AM
Third Jamaa - 8:00 AM
Forth Jamaa - 8:45 AM

Two Jamaa will be held at Masjid Annoor (3032 - 106Street NW, Edmonton)
First Jamaa - 6:45 AM
Second Jamaa - 7:30 AM
