Seven Keys to Entering the Kingdom

Become like a child –Matthew 18:3

Repent and believe – Turn from sin and align your life with God’s will.

Be born again – Spiritual rebirth through the Holy Spirit.

Do the will of the Father – Obedience matters, not just words.

We need to have a righteousness greater than self righteousness

Detach from worldly riches – Trust God, not money or possessions.

Have faith in Jesus Christ – Salvation and entrance into the Kingdom come through Him alone.

In Luke 9:54–56, Jesus is rejected by a Samaritan village because He is heading toward Jerusalem. James and John, offended and angry, ask Jesus if they should call down fire from heaven to destroy the village. Jesus rebukes them and simply moves on to another village.

This moment teaches us that having power does not mean we should always use it.

The disciples could call down fire, but Jesus shows them a higher way — the way of wisdom, love, and restraint.

Key Lessons

Power without wisdom creates chaos
Ability without discernment leads to destruction. Timing and wisdom matter more than raw power.

Power without love becomes destructive
Jesus had all authority, yet He chose compassion over punishment. Love guides how power should be used.

Maturity is measured by restraint
True strength is not shown in what we do, but in what we choose not to do. Self-control is greater than domination.
