Message from M***i Owais, Imam of Baitul Aman Masjid:

A gentle reminder to fast on the blessed day of ʿĀshūrāʾ (10th of Muḥarram) - coming Thurs, June 25.

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said:

"I hope from Allah that fasting the day of ʿĀshūrāʾ will expiate the sins of the previous year." (Sahih Muslim)

Note: One is encouraged to add one more fast to the tenth, either a day before (June 24) or after (June 26).

May Allah accept our fasting, forgive our sins, and grant us steadfastness upon His obedience.

Indeed, to Allah we belong and to Him we shall return.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Mrs. Meherunnessa Khan (Date of Birth: January 2, 1940), who returned to Allah at 3:30 PM today.

She was the beloved mother of Fahmida Karim and cherished mother-in-law of Rafiqul Hasan (Founder Board member of Baitul Aman Islamic Society).
