For those who may not have heard, we recently lost a very dear friend and devoted volunteer, Chef Randy Dowswell.
Every Wednesday, Randy stood alongside our kitchen and prep teams helping prepare more than 1,200 meals for seniors and post-surgery clients throughout our community. Despite facing many serious health challenges of his own, he showed up week after week with a smile, a kind heart, and a genuine eagerness to serve others.
Randy could easily have been one of the people receiving our meals, yet instead he chose to give his time, energy, and compassion to helping others. He truly lived out what Christ calls us to be — humble servants caring for one another.
Sarnia Blessings will be hosting Randy’s Celebration of Life this Saturday, May 23rd from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM at the beautiful Wellings of Corunna Atrium, 180 Bunker Ave., Corunna (across from No Frills).
If you knew Randy, we invite you to stop by, share a story, honour a wonderful man and volunteer, and join us for some food and refreshments as we celebrate a life that touched so many.
