🎉 Family Night Starts September 16! 🎉

Our Family Night programs are starting up on September 16, and you’re invited! We have something for everyone in the family. ❤️

👧👦 Children’s Programs — Grades 1–5
🙌 Jr. High Program — Grades 6–8

It’s a great opportunity for kids and youth to have fun, build friendships, grow in their faith, and get connected with others.

🤝 Adult Connect Groups will also be starting on Wednesdays a few weeks later, toward the end of September. These groups are a great way to build community, grow together, and connect with others.

🙏 A Prayer for the First Day of School 🙏

As a new school year begins, let’s take a moment to pray for our students, teachers, and all those who support them.

Whether they are heading off to university, high school, or elementary school, may they be surrounded by peace, encouragement, wisdom, and safety.

Lord, calm every anxious heart and replace fear with confidence. Give our students the courage to face new challenges, the strength to persevere, and the joy to learn and grow. Bless them with good friends, kind hearts, and people who will encourage them along the way.

We pray for our teachers and school staff. Give them patience, strength, wisdom, and compassion as they guide and care for our children.

Keep every student and teacher safe as they travel to and from school and throughout their day. May our schools be places filled with kindness, respect, hope, and belonging.

Lord, go before them, walk beside them, and watch over them throughout this school year.

Amen. 🙏💙

🌟 Volunteer Shoutout: Liz! 🌟

Today, we’re celebrating Liz! ❤️ She is influential, inspiring, and incredibly resourceful—and we are so grateful for the way she serves at Evangel.

You can find Liz faithfully serving in the Prayer Room on Sundays, creating a space where people can come, pray, and be encouraged. 🙏

During the week, Liz leads a Thursday afternoon Connect Group, where her genuine care for each group member goes above and beyond. She pours into others, encourages them, and makes sure people know they are cared for and valued. 💕

Liz, thank you for serving so faithfully and loving people so well! We appreciate you! 👏

Each year, we provide training for ALL of our volunteers to help make sure we are prepared, equipped, and ready for the year ahead. Whether you’ve been volunteering with us for years or you’re thinking about getting involved for the first time, we’d love for you to join us!

☀️ Summer Highlights from Our Staff! ☀️

Take a look at what some of our staff have been up to this summer! We’ve been busy making memories through park parties, day camps, movie nights, and so much more. 🎬🌳☀️

We’ve also made time to slow down and enjoy God’s beautiful creation—hiking trails, chasing waterfalls, relaxing at the beach, and spending special summer days with family, friends, and grandchildren. 🥾💦🏖️❤️

Marissa is always ready to serve the children of Evangel with a joyful heart and a welcoming smile. She has a true servant's heart and is a wonderful example of God's love through her kindness, care, and compassion.

Her dedication helps create a safe, fun, and encouraging environment where children can grow in their faith and learn about Jesus.

📖 Summer in the Psalms ☀️

This summer, we’ve been journeying through various Psalms, discovering encouragement, hope, and reminders of God’s faithfulness along the way.

Psalm 121 did not disappoint! 🙌 What a powerful reminder that our help comes from the Lord.
