The word “advent” is from the Latin word for “coming,” and as such, describes the “coming” of our Lord Jesus Christ into the flesh.

Jesus came into the world as a baby wrapped in swaddling clothes. He was the long-awaited hope to a dark and sinful world.

As Christians, we know He will come again on the Last Day.

As we wait for Christmas to arrive this year, we also continue to wait with hope and anticipation for our Savior to return!

“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons” (Galatians 4:4-5).
