The Kingdom of God does not fit inside the boundaries you have drawn for it.

Jesus is forming His followers into something that goes beyond preference, beyond comfort, and beyond the familiar. In Luke 9, He gently corrects His disciples when they try to restrict His work to their own circle. The Kingdom is bigger than that. The work of God is moving in places we might not choose, through people who don't look like us ... and Jesus calls us not to shut it down but to celebrate it.

Our worship this Sunday moves through that same expansive grace. Songs of new things breaking through the old ... of being washed and made wholly new by the Spirit ... of standing undone before a God whose ways are altogether holy ... of longing for Him and nothing else ... and of honest, trembling faith that cries out even in its weakness.

What does it mean to bring all of ourselves into worship. Not just the emotionally ready version. Not just the theologically prepared version. Heart and mind together ... passion shaped by truth and truth made alive by the Spirit. When we stop leaning on one without the other, something genuinely formational begins to happen. We are not just singing songs. We are being shaped into a people who live for His glory.

Jesus Redefines Greatness

What if the most formative thing you do all week happens on a Sunday morning ... not because of the experience, but because of who you're beholding?
Worship isn't just something we offer ... it's something that's shaping us. Every song we sing, every truth we declare, every gaze we fix on Christ ... is slowly forming us into something. And Jesus makes it clear in His kingdom that the something we're being formed into looks nothing like the world's version of greatness. It looks like humility. It looks like Christ.
This Sunday we gather around songs that keep reminding us of the same thing ... it was never about us. The blood that cleanses, the grace that saves, the Spirit that empowers ... all of it points away from ourselves and toward the One who is worthy of everything.
Come ready to be shaped. Come ready to behold.
We become what we worship ... and only Jesus is worth becoming like.
