The children from Sunday School helped celebrate 1500 Westie Bears with a special song ☺️🎶

Westside celebrated 1500 Westie Bears with teddy bear cookies and a children's choir. The bears bring comfort to young and old during stressful times. The Teddy Ladies have been knitting, stuffing and sewing bears for three years. They provide bears to many community agencies i.e. Cambridge Fire Dept, Food Bank, CMH, Salvation Army, Dawn Centre, Lissard House, Child Witness Centre, Women's Crisis Centre-Haven House, Friendly Visiting Program, Alzheimers Society, nursing homes and friends of Westside. No matter where they go, Westie Bears bring smiles and comfort.

Sports Camp at Westside is coming up from August 17th through 21st. Campers enjoy soccer, basketball, and ball hockey. Each camper receives a t-shirt, water bottle, camper playbook, Bible and lots of freezies.

Pentecost is sometimes described as the reversal of the Tower of Babel. At Babel, language divides people. At Pentecost, language becomes a bridge. But bridges do not build themselves. They require intention. Effort. Courage.
