Sometimes love asks us to listen a little longer. To be patient when we'd rather be frustrated. To speak up when something isn't right. Or to set aside our own preferences to make room for someone else.

What does love require of me, right here, right now?

Westside has a new Chili Cook-Off champion! 🌶️🏆
Congratulations to Jim Pipe, who took home first place!
Rev. Brian and Zac Thomas/Jeremy Ford tied for second, with Frank Kivell taking third.

A big thank you to everyone who brought chili, helped organize the fun, and to our 36 brave taste-testers who took their voting responsibilities very seriously. Special thanks to Kim Shrubsall for helping verify the bean count!

Everyone really enjoyed the special lunch.

Reformation Sunday reminds us that renewal is part of the life of the church. And perhaps it's part of our own lives, too.
There may be something worth holding onto. Something worth changing. Or something we've lost sight of along the way.
What might need a little renewing in your life?

Our culture is very good at teaching us to notice what we don't have. Gratitude teaches us to notice what we have received. And that is resistance.
