Introducing our Monthly Young Adults Fajr Breakfast Club at Southwest Masjid.

Alhamdulillah, we had our first breakfast this past Saturday, bringing together young brothers aged 18–35, from university students to those already working and building their careers.

The idea is simple. To give our young adults a space where they can sit together, connect, build friendships, and learn about their responsibilities as an Ummati of Muhammad ﷺ, especially as they navigate university, the workplace, and the professional world.

Because being a Muslim young adult is about more than just getting through university or building a successful career. It is about understanding who we are, what we stand for, and how we can carry our Deen wherever Allah takes us in life.

This is just another link in the ongoing chain of efforts at Southwest Masjid to connect our youth and young adults to Allah, and to instill within their hearts the true love of Muhammad ﷺ.

May Allah accept these humble efforts, put Barakah in them, and allow us to see a generation of young Muslims who are firmly connected to their Deen, wherever life takes them.

More initiatives and gatherings like these are coming, InshaAllah. Stay tuned!

*Something new is starting at Calgary Islamic Centre.**

Our **Monthly Tarbiyyah Night for High School Brothers & Sisters.**

Every month, we’ll spend an evening at the Masjid talking about the **real challenges that Muslim youth face in High School.** The things we think about, the struggles we go through, the questions we sometimes don’t know who to ask.

And yes, **you can ask questions anonymously.**

Our first topic:

**“I WANT TO CHANGE… BUT…”**

**The life you want to live vs. the life you have.**

Every Muslim youth wants to be better. We want to become **better Muslims, better people, closer to Allah.** We have goals, we make intentions, we want to change.

But then there are barriers.

**Friends. School. Social media. Habits. Temptations. Pressure.** And sometimes, we just don’t know where to start.

So how do we actually make that change?

Join us **this Saturday** as we begin this new monthly Tarbiyyah Night at Calgary Islamic Centre.

**Saturday, October 3**
**5:30 PM**
**Basement of Southwest Masjid, Calgary**

**Open to all High School Brothers & Sisters.**

Come with your questions. Come with your struggles. Come ready to talk, listen and learn.

Sometimes the first step towards changing your life is simply admitting:

**“I want to change… but…”**

AND WE’RE BACK! 🔥

After a little summer break, the High School Brothers’ Majlis is back at Southwest Masjid!

This Saturday, join us after Asr (5:30 PM) for an evening of learning, brotherhood, games, snacks and good conversation.

And this week, we’re starting something special.

Have you ever wondered who Muhammad ﷺ really was?

Not just the stories we hear in the masjid, but his life, his character, his struggles, his choices… and what his life can teach a High Schooler living in 2026.

We’re beginning a short series on the life of our Beloved Prophet ﷺ, starting right from the beginning: his arrival into this world and his birth.

Come through. Bring a friend. Let’s learn about the greatest man to ever walk this earth, together.
