Continuation (Part 2) : The Spiritual Gift✨
🌱 What Suppresses or Makes the Gift of God Dormant?
📖 1 Corinthians 12:1
Paul tells the church not to be ignorant concerning spiritual gifts. We must learn and understand the Word of God in order to properly utilize the gifts He has given us.
👉 Knowledge is power.
The objective is for us to understand:
* How spiritual gifts operate
* Why God gives them
* How we can use them to serve His people and glorify Him
📖 1 Timothy 4:12
“To despise” means to look down upon or belittle.
1. Do not allow anyone to look down on you
Do not let people, situations, or even your own thoughts make you feel small. The gift of God upon your life is greater than your circumstances. 🙌
The gift and instruction God has given you is greater than any obstacle you may face.
📖 John 1:45–46
Often, it begins with despising yourself before others begin to despise you.
Being youthful is a gift from God to everyone. As long as you are able to minister and serve God, never think you are too young to be used by Him. 🌟
We are called to serve, not to exalt ourselves or become prideful because of our gifts. You may be young, but you are not too small for God to use.
🪶 Iron sharpens iron.
Do not let anyone despise your gift.
Allowing people’s opinions — or your own insecurities — to suppress your gift can stop its manifestation.
God does not despise you because He knows what He planted inside of you. He has called you for a purpose.
✨ You are a mighty man or woman of valor.
Some of us are blocking our own gifts because we belittle ourselves. God wants to move mightily through us.
🔥 It is time to rise out of our shells.
🌍 Be an Example to Your Community
Paul said:
👉 “Follow me as I follow Christ.”
As believers:
* We are called to live righteously
* We must pursue holiness
* Our conversations should be seasoned with grace and love 🕊️
If we do not speak to one another in love, we fail to reflect God.
❤️ Love Builds the Church
If there is one thing that strengthens and grows the church, it is love.
There is no way we can truly have God within us and not love others.
Let us:
* Pray for one another 🙏
* Support one another 🤝
* Stand together in faith, love and charity
✨ Be an Example in Purity
We are called to flee from sin and live pure lives before God.
Set an example in:
* Speech
* Conduct
* Love
* Faith
* Purity
📖 1 Timothy 4:13–14
We should never neglect the Word of God.
We must:
* Read and study the Word 📚
* Teach and mentor one another
* Communicate and encourage each other spiritually
Just as a newborn baby needs care and nurturing, the gifts God has placed inside us must also be nurtured. 🌱
Serving God comes with a price:
* Spending time in prayer 🙏
* Reading the Word 📖
* Seeking God consistently
Therefore, nurture the gift God has given you and pay attention to it.
✨ You are God’s gift to your community.
You are called to stand in the gap for your family and those around you.
🔥 Stir Up the Gift of God
📖 2 Timothy 1:6
Some gifts remain dormant because they have never been stirred up.
The gifts of God require action, discipline, and effort.
Serving God is not always easy because it comes with sacrifice, but we must put effort into developing and implementing the gifts God has given us.
You may have received prophecy or had hands laid upon you, but what matters is ex*****on. 💡
Study the Word concerning your gift and allow it to manifest fully.
God does not look at your age.
Do not despise small beginnings. 🌟
God will use you, and through you, lives will be transformed. 🙌
