Spiritual Lessons
1. Your identity comes from God.
Your worth is not determined by wealth, appearance, education, or status, but by being created in God's image.
2. You were created for relationship with God.
Humans were uniquely designed to know, love, and worship their Creator.
3. You have purpose.
God created people to represent Him by living according to His character and caring for His creation.
4. Every person deserves dignity and respect.
Since every human bears God's image, all people have inherent value.
5. Men and women are equally valuable.
Both reflect God's image and share in His purpose for humanity.
Related Scriptures
Psalm – Humanity is crowned with glory and given dominion over creation.
John – Christ's role in creation.
Colossians – Christ created and sustains all things.
James – People are made in God's likeness.
Ephesians – Believers are called to reflect God's righteousness and holiness.
Devotional Thought
Because you are made in the image of God, your life has meaning and purpose. You were created to reflect God's love, holiness, wisdom, and compassion in the world. Through faith in Christ, that image is being renewed so that you increasingly reflect His character in your thoughts, words, and actions.

Genesis 22:14 – "The Lord will provide."
Philippians 4:19 – "My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus."
Application:
God provides food, clothing, wisdom, strength, opportunities, and everything necessary for life and His purpose.
2. Provision
Meaning: The actual supply or resources that have been provided.
Biblical examples:
God's provision for the Israelites was manna in the wilderness (Exodus 16).
Daily bread is God's provision (Matthew 6:11).
Application:
Provision can include finances, employment, health, relationships, spiritual gifts, peace, and guidance.
3. Protect
Meaning: To keep someone safe from harm, danger, or evil Biblical examples:
Psalm 91:1–2 – God is our refuge and fortress.
Psalm 121:7–8 – "The Lord shall preserve you from all evil."
Application:
God's protection covers physical safety, spiritual warfare, emotional well-being, and deliverance from danger.
The Relationship Between Them
- God provides what you need.
- God's provision is what He has supplied.
- God protects both you and what He has provided.
For example:
God provides a job.
The job is His provision.
God protects you and your livelihood as you trust and obey Him.
A Simple Prayer
"Heavenly Father, thank You for being my Provider and Protector. I trust You to provide every need according to Your riches in glory. Thank You for Your provision in my life, and I ask You to protect me, my family, and everything You have entrusted to me. In Jesus' name, Amen."

To act or pray "in the name of Jesus" means to do under His authority and in agreement with His will.
KEYS
1. By His Authority
Jesus gave His followers authority to represent Him. Just as an ambassador speaks on behalf of a king, believers act on behalf of Christ. Luke 10:19, Matthew 28:18–20
2. According to His Will
Praying in Jesus' name means asking for things that align with His purposes and characterβ€”not simply adding His name to any request. John 14:13–14, 1 John 5:14–15
3. Representing Jesus
Christians are called to represent Christ in their words and actions.
Colossians 3:17: "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus..."
4. Depending on His Power
Miracles in the New Testament were performed through the authority of Jesus, not through human power.
Acts 3:6: "In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk."
5. Access to the Father
Because of Jesus' sacrifice, believers can confidently approach God in prayer through Him. John 16:23–24
To do something "in the name of Jesus" means:
- To act under His authority.
- To represent His character.
- To seek His will.
- To rely on His power.
- To approach God through His mediation.
As Philippians 2:9–11 declares, God has highly exalted Jesus and given Him "the name which is above every name," showing that His name carries supreme authority in heaven and on earth.
