THEME: Unveiling The Covenant Of Liberty

Liberty should be understood as a covenant between you and God. He has put His life at stake so that the we can be free (just like a marriage covenant)

Romans 8:21
Now, there are different levels and types of liberty.
Glorious Liberty - The type of liberty that we have been liberated into by God. It’s also called covenanted liberty with the living God.
Pseudo Liberty - this is false liberty.
True Liberty - This is the liberty in deed.

We ought to thirst for this Glorious liberty.

2Corinthians 3:18

Hebrews 6:13-19
This is covenant that God swore by Himself

Luke 13:10-16 (16 being the main verse)
When liberty is a covenant;

1. Our liberty is an ought - The word ‘ought’ is a modal auxiliary. It emphasizes a must; an obligation.

Psalms 89:34

2. Our liberty is generational - It moves from one generation to another.

3. Our liberty is overriding - It is “overriding exigent supervening”
For example; According to the Law of Moses, work is not done on the Sabbath Day. But God overrides this by healing the woman. What was not supposed to happen, will happen because of the covenant and vice versa.
